I am running the Diamond 77 series with gain 3.0 5.5 and also a comet search and rescue model CA2x4 I think it is. with gain 3.8 6.2 both fold over or remove quickly. Then I have a 102" whip for HF to reach out in remote areas without repeaters.
The smaller one would do you ok, but there is no grease channel. The larger one might fit but seems like overkill. Currently they are not here at the house so can't tell you the brand names.
Ducky's Dad that was a great post. well said. Yep you need to negotiate with pawn shops as price marked is not the buying price. I have cell phone with me and google prices when I come across things I am interested in walk away if its not priced low enough. But if tool needs a new cord or other...
Craigs list was mentioned above but here we have several Pawn Shops loaded with loads of tools complete with Batteries and chargers for a great price. kinda like try before you buy high dollar equipment. Also when I built a place up in Montana, pawn shops were a savings for Milwaukee hole hawgs...

Traveling I use the travel/hailing frequency of 146.520 and or 446.000 in Death valley I have spoke with quite a few on the 146.520. I use Interstate 15 traveling to Montana and there is a I-15 inter-tie where repeaters are linked together and folks can chat from Vegas all way up through Idaho...
And if you want slightly older technology you can not go wrong with a Icom 706MKIIG with a AH4 tuner. This will give you multiple options of contacting someone. I like my Kenwood TS480 it works pretty decent. Some would say jump on down to Wouxun. A buddy runs one and it does ok. So like posted...
Great job on the skid row skid plate!! I went with the whole set and boy are they heavy.. Had to shim mine a bit because I went with the 1" drop so my cv joint boots won't tear.
They make changing the oil filter pretty easy due to open access on the side.
I solved this issue with the Hellroaring kit. Left my inverter on overnight resulted in dead main battery. A quick flip of the switch and I was up and running again. No mess no fuss of jumper cables etc.
