Just got back from the Pinedale area today, truly is Gods Country. Went to Green River Lakes yesterday, not 1 other person there. Went to New Fork Lake the day before, not a soul there. Fished on the Green River for 3 days and never saw another fisherman...There was snow on the Mountain Tops and...

Very nice write up and pictures. Once leaving Mesquite how much of this trip could be done by a non street legal truck? Seems most of the trip so far has been on BLM land so being street legal probably isn't a concern. Correct?

I like the supercab body idea. Been thinking about doing that myself to a single cab LWB 2wd Ranger I have. Rangers seem to be undervalued as expo vehicles, but considering all the off road/prerunner/desert racer stuff available I don't see why.

Anybody have a link to or pictures of the frame of these campers? Looked around on the net a bit and didn't find any. These campers sound like exactly what I have been looking for to put on my 2007 2500HD. I would like to see a bit more of how they are built :ylsmoke:

I have been thinking of the same concept as your picture. I don't see why flip-pac could not leave off the camper shell. Other than the costs of making a mold it seems pretty straight forward.

Nothing wrong with an explorer for Expo use. They make great off-road vehicles with a little help. I had a 97 V8 Explorer AWD. I bought it with 75k miles and sold it with 175k miles. Mostly trouble free. Took out the back seat and put in a sleeping platform and the mrs. and I camped extensively...

Based on what I have read above of your needs/wants get a 2500 whatever it will work the best for your needs.

Great pictures. I have many fond memories of surf fishing on Assategue Island when I lived back East and your pictures reminded me of what I liked most about it........... beautiful scenry and no people..

Like everyone else above has said, those parts look weak. I would definately look into some beefier parts.

Keep it simple.For the rear reinforce the rear trailing arms with a boxing kit, change the CV joints to Type 2 or Type 4 ( Type 4 having more degrees capability) You will have to change output flanges on the trans and also the stub axles but either is no big deal. Add a GOOD shock. Weld up the...

Our builds sound similar. I'm planning on using a BMS Upper Arm, tierods and King 2.5's all around. I'm going to look into doing a lift too. Look forward to watching your build.
