Well just to update, in case anyone happens upon this thread and cares. With the uncertainty of available replacement parts, as well as a better deal falling in my lap a day later, I went with a complete one for $30 more.
Montero Sport "Nativa" style spoiler question... missing parts... purchase anyway?
Hello all.
So I have a chance to get a "Nativa" style spoler that fits the Montero Sport. This is not the black flat version. this is the angular one that is more like the lexus & toyota 4 runner...
I'm running 33's with a 3.0L 2001 widebody sport. I have the 4.90 factory gears with 16inch rims. 33s didn't kill it too bad, but I have not taken it off road yet.
Spark plug non fouler trick worked for me to pass emissions... but the cat was indeed dying. Had to cut it off recently. Now I'm debating if i run catless on that side and let the nonfouler keep codes at bay for emissions.
Decisions, decisions... have a friend who knows a welder who will...
Glad to see a sport on here. Good progress you are making. One of these days I will get a build thread going. LOL! Just need to get it running right before I move to the fun stuff! ;)
Anyone have any insight as to which gen2s came with the larger coils and torsion bars?
I came across a 95 in the junkyard without a locker and it was a no go for the larger bars (26.4 normal type) and coils.
Anyone with an "SR" with the factory bars want to post up the torsion bars...
Well i can confirm the winter package is the "sport type" the fsm mentions. Just pulled the coils and torsions out of a 99 winter package. Torsion diameter was read with digital calipers and was as fsm indicates for the "sport type"... And coils had the light blue pain blob on them.
Notice...
Still trying to finds a thread that actually mentions the fullsize "sport type" configuration notated in the FSM and dictates what vehicles they actually were an option on and what trim level they came on. Nothing yet. UGH!
Thank you!
Found it:

Any comment about the OME lift versus the winter package factory height from the coils? I assume you went with the (303011 or 303010) Torsion...
I see in your signature you have a 98 with the winter package, but opted to go with ome suspension. How much did it improve your ride over your factory set up? Did it lift it additionally?
Thank you... I was searching on here for 2 days and only found 2 threads that mentioned the winter package and that it came with better suspension. I was focusing on coil spring info, so maybe my search parameters were flawed...
Oh and i did some research looking at ome lifts... seems there are part number cross overs between the Montero sport and Montero fullsize...
1991-1999 Fullsize Monteros w/ rear coils 20mm (.75inch) lift
Frt
(303011) Torsion bars for the 95-00 w/ 1308mm length
(60040) Nitrocharger sport

So I still have my 2001 Sport. Did the 2 inch body lift to fit my 33s. I'm still working out the rest of my lift. Had tabled it for the time being till some information came out.
It has come to my attention via another sport owner that there are similarities in the coil spring od diameters...
