Kudos to Randy & AFWD Interesting thread. I am happy to jump in and share my experience. Randy at AFWD did a 4x4 conversion for me on my 2006 Ford E350. I liked it. LOL! I am NOT going there! Strictly speaking, mine is not a camper, but it has taken us thru some tough conditions. In my opinion, the mix of a 4x4 and a full-sized van is perfect.
