VW's fraud killed whatever momentum diesel had in the U.S. I'd love to see a NAS diesel Defender myself, but I'd also be surprised to see it happen.

What's going on here? The top of the steering knuckle looks dissimilar to any Rover I've seen, and the top of the strut doesn't look like the standard air strut, either.

I think it's safe to assume the Defender probably has the same brake calipers as the D5, and the D5 can run 18" wheels. It remains to bee seen, however, whether the Defender comes from the factory with 18" wheels.

That "write up" was actually done around 5-6 years ago when they had their project LR4. You can find the project thread somewhere in the Land Rover subforum. The Compomotives were relatively unknown then.

Which load rating are you running? Cooper makes that model and size in both LT and E rated tires--you should be running E.

Wheels and tires will not nullify the warranty of any part a CPO warranty is likely to cover, as they would predominantly be "wear items" such as bushings and wheel bearings.

Who was at fault? If it was the other driver, it may be worth it for you to get an attorney to maximize the amount of money you will receive between the other driver's insurance and your own.
