I am on my second G Wagen and here are some random thoughts: MB USA began importing them in 2002. 2002 and 2003 models are sometimes quirky with regards to electronics. My 2003 had issues and it was covered under my state's lemon law and a dealer completely revamped it with newer electronics...

Creede, your vehicle is looking like you are taking care of it and in the right way: you are using it. I miss the G and I am glad it has a good home now.

One thing that doesn't make sense is to be a motivated seller, make some postings on a few forums and then disappear. That's not how to sell a vehicle if you actually want it be sold. Maybe he sold it in another way and forgot to update these forums...

How long have you owned the vehicle? Why do you suspect the previous owner didn't address the rust in the typical places, give that he went to great lengths to do just about everything else.

I had the Frontrunner drawers and they were wonderful. My only complaint was that I didn't like the lock on them to be a key, as I would have rather had a combination lock instead.
