If you do the job properly, it’ll probably be a little more than that. Remember that bedliner products are not really waterproof, which is why they recommend an epoxy primer if you go to bare metal. Epoxy primer is waterproof unlike other primers, but it’s also a lot more expensive and harder...
I went round and round on the two stage vs single stage, get’s even more complicated when you consider some of the single stage paint formula’s that have the clear mixed in with the base.
But ultimately with a quality clear it will be a lot tougher than single, so while fixing deep pin stripes...
I found it hard to find anyone who would paint a whole van, only interested in either small crash repair style paint, or a 20k+ show quality job. In the end, got it done for 4.5k, would have been cheaper if I hadn’t done a color change and there for no door jams, or picked a cheaper quality...
Ask if there is a limit to this. Most / all policy's have limit to how much value in aftermarket accessories are covered (which is what they are suggesting here with the receipts). It's usually $1~3k which is not going to come close to your build.
If you are paying premiums against (what the...
I had a similar issue on one side, I found that after pulling all 4 studs out the bearing assembly came out easily. I welded a smaller nut to the stud (knuckle side), that way I could get a thick wall socket on it to get it out. I took a smaller nut drilled and tapped it to the size of the...
yes you bought the wrong row. You want the 2nd row seats, kinda looks like you bought the front row (Driver passenger seat). The 2nd row seats have a clip-in style mount, so very easy to convert, the front seats have the usual frame which is a PITA to convert.
Are you sure it’s the actual hitch flexing and not the tube/box section of the rack in the receiver? for bike racks they all move in the receiver tube and using a bolt-in style hitch pin will take out the side to side slop (but not always the up and down slop)...
that is awesome work, would love to see you offer that front setup as a kit option (not that I’m in the market, but someone who offers a far superior coil front setup to other options would be amazing), but also realize the market and future probably isn’t their. Rear is a real showcase to U...
I think they were build for that 7.3 frame up rebuild a few years ago. (one that had intercooler and crate engine) still amaze me every time I see them, simply brilliant design.
Personally I’d steer clear of anything designed for RV or house, as they simply don’t stand up. I’ve had really good luck with marine grade equipment. So something like a marine scupper valve would probably be the place I’d start looking depending on where you’d want to place it.
something like...
Yes that makes complete sense. Also with such an iconic “u joint” vehicle last thing you want is it being around looking like ******** if the new owner doesn’t look after it / for Others to have an excuse to trash it.
It really is an icon, kill it with grace, don’t let it wither
