Sounds like a set of diamond pattern chains oughta work for you. They ride much nicer than the ladder pattern chains and they're easier to put on.

The problem is after you use the cans, you might get enough splashed/dribbled/spilled gasoline around the spout to notice a smell. I take extra garbage bags with me and put the cans inside of them if that happens.

The bearings aren't too bad. You'll have to take the rotors off to get to them, so if you're looking to replace rotors it's a good time to do it. You'll want the extra big "hub nut spanner". Give Trevor at RovahFarm a call, he helped me get what I needed and it made it a lot easier.
