I likely missed it, but what is the truck only price now, and what is the package deal price? Thanks!

Goal Zero Nomad 100...charge car battery?

I might just keep it simple and get the 12V Charge Controller, and run it off the panels to the battery. It is easy to access with alligator clips to charge the battery.

Goal Zero Nomad 100...charge car battery?

Apologies up front if this topic has been posted to death, and also for my basic understanding of all things solar. Question is: Can I charge our camper battery (single) effectively with the Goal Zero Nomad 100 or Boulder 100 solar panels? Our camper has a pre-wired Zamp connection, and I have...

    Lets See Your Solar Setups

Is your Renogy set up with SAE or MC4 connectors? I have a Zamp equipped SAE port on our RV; would that set up work with an additional SAE cord?

roof mounted solar panels - which ones to get?

That is good feedback, thank you. I'm really looking for the best quality for my money for a consistent, workhorse solar panel; name brand makes zero difference to me. Function wins in my book, and I am more or less a noob when it comes to solar panels.

roof mounted solar panels - which ones to get?

Can anyone weigh in on the overall quality/durability/performance of Zamp Portable Solar Panels? Looking to get a 45 or 90w for our 16' RV. It is pre-wired, and just looking to have it for when we need to recharge for longer duration outings.

    Why use a RTT?

Hopefully this question is not too much of a tangent to the original "why use an RTT", but I would like the input of others on why you use a specific STYLE of RTT. Namely, what are the pros and cons of an RTT like the Kukenam vs. the Autohome Maggiolina vs. the Alu-Cab Gen 3 Expedition. Again...

    1991 Land Cruiser....220k miles, $5600.....what am I missing?

Thanks all for weighing in and providing some solid advice -- much appreciated!

Shoe holder, thingymabob, keeping shoes outside the tent

I would use a roll-top dry bag, such as THESE, drop shoes in, roll it up, clip it by a carabiner to the top rung of the ladder as others have stated, and your shoes will be completely protected from the rain, etc. I use one frequently for clothing that I stash when backcountry hunting in MT, as...

    1991 Land Cruiser....220k miles, $5600.....what am I missing?

So, I have been a Toyota fan and driver (2001 Tundra, nothing fancy, but love it) and the Land Cruiser bug is getting worse. Found this option online....thoughts? Since the details are lean, what would the long-time LC experts be asking? I want a reliable, simple overlander that will eventually...

    AT Tacoma Habitat: Official Thread

This is a great looking setup - simple, lightweight, easy. I like the fact too that you have the one vehicle, which is used for basically everything. I would want the ability to use my truck bed for other things, namely hunting trips in the fall when I would need to carry other gear and...

Kind of in need of more photos.....anyone? I am living vicariously through the lucky Habitat owners, so post a few pics! Interior shots are always welcome. Cool to see how people rig them for their needs.

    Map overlay?

Try out ONXMaps, either the chip for a GPS or app for smartphone. I use the app for backcountry hunting trips, and it is amazing. Private land, roads, trails, national forests, etc. and you can pick your state. No need to download additional programs, layers, etc. from and once you select and...
