    Questions for Wrangler JK Owners

I don't actually have a JK, but I have been pricing them and looking at countless. I myself am also looking into upgrading to a new Wrangler. Well to answer this question for you, it's actually opposite at least near me. Rubicons are getting higher discounts. I think the average Rubicon discount...

10-15gallon water tank under a JK...?

He probably wants to keep the center of gravity low especially with something like a water tank which can get up to 125lbs for a 15 gallon tank (if I did my math correctly). I know if I had the space that's what I would do. You could probably search for "RV Water Tank" they come in all shapes...

Need new storage ideas for a TJ

Hey what going on. Do you have the underseat style security drawer or the rear cargo drawer? If you have the rear cargo drawer then you should be able to put all your tools in rolls. Here is a picture of my setup with the underseat style security drawer:

    Lifting a stock Wrangler - Questions ????

I'd like to chime in just to ask you a couple of questions. If he doesn't want to regear then he probably has 3.07 gears. If he wants to go to 33's then he is going to lose 5th gear & the ability to crawl (control) over obstacles. I know that you said he doesn't want to do any extreme rock...

Weakest point in winch and rigging?

"The mounting system is the single most important part of a bull bar design. ARB's mounting systems are specifically engineered for each vehicle, and are designed to spread impact and winching loads evenly over the vehicles chassis, ensuring the bull bar functions properly in extreme...

    Finally got her lifted yesterday....

What gear ratio did you end up with? I'm trying to decide between 4.56 and 4.88. I know that the optimum range for the 4.0L is 2500 RPM, but I can't grasp that concept. Then again I am use to 3.07's where going 65 on the highway on 30" tires your turning 1600 RPM.

    Finally got her lifted yesterday....

As promised here are some shots of the flex of non broken in OME TJ/LJ Coils Springs, etc... Not to shabby. To give you a little bit of reference the bottom of the driver side front tire was 31.25" off the ground.

    Finally got her lifted yesterday....

Yeah I know. I will be flexing my truck out tomorrow and will definitely be snapping some pics. Granted it'll be with a forklift, but flex is flex. :)

    Finally got her lifted yesterday....

Hey sorry I missed your post. Well there were quite a few reasons why I went with the Old Man Emu setup. For one and probably the biggest reason was because of there different rate springs that they sell. It isn't just a "cookie cutter spring" as I like to refer to them as. Basically what a...

    Finally got her lifted yesterday....

Hey where did you bring your Jeep to get everything done? ie gears etc. Now that I am driving this thing it is a MAJOR dog and I'm already looking at gear/axle replacements.

    Finally got her lifted yesterday....

I got the LJ springs to compensate for the additional weight that I have on my Jeep, ie. hardtop, rack, soon HD rear bumper, lots of tools, etc. They give a stiffer ride, but also give me less "sag" with the additional weight. If you do a motor mount lift then depending on the height of your...

    Finally got her lifted yesterday....

Basically when you do the body lift and the motor mount lift it puts the motor back to a "stock" location in reference to the body so no adjustments had to be made to the radiator or fan shrouds. This is ONLY if you do both at the same time. If you only do the body lift then you have to trim...

    Finally got her lifted yesterday....

Yeah I did a JKS Motor Mount Lift, and I have no vibrations what so ever which is great! The ride and handling are pretty good. The LJ springs are definitely stiff, but that's what I wanted in the rear. It made a huge improvement over the stock suspension.

    Finally got her lifted yesterday....

Hey what's up guys. After A LOT of research I finally lifted my '97 TJ yesterday! I weighed out all of my options and thought about all of my future plans and this seemed like the most reasonable and BEST option. I ended up putting in a OME kit but modified. This is what I got: OME HD LJ Rear...
