I got mine from a guy in Hesperia, the story I got was that it was "smuggled" here in a shipping container by people escaping the post-Mandela craziness. It's worked ok for my uses, I prefer an open area inside to put totes w/ gear vs. different compartments dedicated to kitchen, fridge, etc.
I had to make up some custom ones, the factory ones were too small.
I can shoot some pix tonight and post tomorrow. You should be able to do it w/ materials available at any hardware store.
Those are sick bikes. I went to Irv Seaver BMW in Anaheim last week to talk about them. Supposedly the new F650's are the same engine just not bored out to 800.
If you don't mind me asking, what percentage of the selling price did they require to do a preorder/deposit?
I was up there on Saturday. The Gondola to the top isn't open yet for biking...:(
$34 to ride the lower trails and be brought up to the lodge by bus.
Supposedly it will open up for the 4th of July weekend.
Did you feel like you had to vent in the middle of the night in order to not become asphyxiated? I'm thinking about buying one of these, definitely don't want an air-tight seal when I crash out after putting back a few...
I also like a simple oatmeal w/ honey & raisins...and some freshly brewed coffee.
Simple to make, easy to pack, and hard to screw up.
I tend to focus more of the elaborate camp cooking towards kicka$$ lunches & dinners.
