SOLD 30" 500 lb lock in / lock out slides for sale

Hi, I have 2 pair of 30" 500 lb lock in / lock out slides for sale. Neither pair has been used other than me starting to build a slider from them and then discovering they were too long. Oops. See here for the backstory if that matters. One pair is a 3600 series from Ryadon / Accuride, same as...

SOLD: Victron BlueSolar 75/15 MPPT Charge Controller + VE.Direct Bluetooth Dongle

I purchased these two items late last year when I was pulling together parts for my camper's solar system. Finally got around to installing them this week and the location was I forced to install the charge controller doesn't allow for the bluetooth dongle. Hence, they're up for grabs. They work...

    MC4 connector incompatibility?

Hi Folks, These are the connectors supplied from the manufacturer, but I assume they're not the OEM of the plugs themselves. As it turns out, it was the fit of the clip legs on the male (Renogy) plug into the female receptacle slots (Grape) -- the clip legs were too wide / receptacle slots too...

    MC4 connector incompatibility?

Quick note, I have called both Grape and Renogy and both said they've never heard of it before. Grape at least suggested getting one of their extension cables to replace the Renogy (obvious and logical), but Renogy tech had no suggestions.

    MC4 connector incompatibility?

Hi, I'm in the process of hooking up a pair of Grape Solar panels to an extension cable from Renogy. I cannot get the male end of the Renogy to engage with the female end of the Grape cable. The fit is too tight. All other combinations work (Grape male into Renogy female is OK, Renogy male into...

check out my fridge slider - anyone want it?

The flex isn't coming from the alu L-section handle (it's 1/8" thick), rather it's coming from the little corner braces I used to attach that to the locking bar on the sliders. Certainly sturdier corner braces would help, but there's a bit of play in the locking mechanism of the slider. Imagine...

check out my fridge slider - anyone want it?

Thanks. It's not 100% one-handed operation, but it's close. I can do it with one hand but my wife needs to grip it at either end. I guess there's some technique involved ;) Part of the issue is that the brackets I used to attach the handle to the locking bars allow some slight flex, as does the...

check out my fridge slider - anyone want it?

Slider completed! Follow-up on the saga of my fridge slider. In the end I used some 28" Knape & Vogt 8908 sliders and they're awesome! However, not all was easy, and there was another false start. I'll get into that later if you want to keep on reading. Otherwise, here's some pics of the...

sealant / adhesive advice for roof penetration

I was on the fence about using VHB double-sided tape to stick the gland down, or just a sealant as the adhesive. I figured if I used tape, the gland would stay on for sure but then I could only get sealant around the corner of the perimeter where the gland intersects the roof. If I instead used...

sealant / adhesive advice for roof penetration

Hi Folks, I'm about to install a cable gland (this one) on the roof to bring in my solar cabling. I'd prefer not to have to run any screws through the corners of the gland housing. I've been trying to figure out how to adhere and seal it in one go. It seems Sikaflex-252 is a pretty fantastic...

Securing fridge to flat pull out

Interestingly, I had some emails back & forth with Accuride customer service and they said you can't "flat"-mount the 9308s, but seemed to suggest they wouldn't carry a rated load. No mention of locking ability being affected. I found some info here that suggests you get 180 lbs total load...
