    Ineos vehicles at SEMA 2024

I miss SEMA, it's been 5 years since I was there last. What I see with Ineos vehicles is what I love and hate at the same time about SEMA. It's great to see products that are innovative and add value to the vehicle and the experience of owning that vehicle. SEMA can also bring out the crap you...

    ducks?

My Cherokee hasn't been ducked, and to be honest I haven't seen another Jeep that's been ducked yet. My neighbor did put a Smokey the bear hat on my dash just because it's an Ex USFS Cherokee. I didn't get to keep though.

    What was your first Jeep?

1984 CJ7. The one I never should have sold in 2008. Replaced with WJ (big mistake), now have 96 XJ which is better than WJ, but not as good as CJ. The best 4x4's I ever had were a 97 Discovery and 91 LR Defender 110. Disco was stolen and 110 totaled by school bus.

    Wheel modification

I contacted Stockton wheel and they can take the 15 inch centers and build them up to fit 16 inch rims. They haven't gotten back with a price yet and I don't expect that it will be cost effective, but we'll see. I have a set of 16 inch ICON'S as well, so will most likely stick with the them but...

    Wheel modification

Nobody makes 31x9.5r15LT AT tires anymore and 10.5 is just to wide for me. Typically on an XJ 31x10.5r15 requires higher lift, trimming, etc. If you go to a 235/85r16 you don't need to trim and you can get away with a 3 inch lift. For now I'm sticking with the 15 inch and trying to buy General...

    Wheel modification

Because 16 inch tires are so much easier to get in the sizes I'm interested in, like 235/85r16, etc. I'd like to take my stock Jeep 15 inch steelies (see picture) , remove the centers, and then have them welded into 16 inch outer rims. Back in the day, when I lived SoCal I had stuff like that...

    Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac RT

My DuraTracs are 7 years old so I'm thinking about new tires soon. I see the new DuraTrac RT is out, but I'm somewhat confused. From what I understand the new wave of RT tires (Rugged Terrain) are supposed to be between an AT and MT, but also a pavement tire. Isn't the definition of an RT the...

Time to buy a Gladiator? $20k off MSRP’s!

Locally I'm seeing 10% off MSRP for the most part. I like the Gladiator concept, but in my opinion it's wheelbase is too long, it's bed is too short, and I'd prefer an extended cab instead of 4 doors. I do like the pick up concept, just not the execution. If I were in the market for a new Jeep...

    Electric Chain Saw

I have 2 Greenworks chainsaws. A 16 inch 40v and 18 inch 80v. Both exceeded my expectations and cut like butta! The 40v is 7 years old and leaks chain lube some, but not bad. The 18 inch leaks nothing and tackles everything. I have 5 acres wit 4 acres of trees and use both all the time. Would...
