Well, first... You don't need the newest and the best camera body to do what the OP is talking about. As for the A7.... I don't know any professional that is using that or calling it a dslr or slr...
SLR specifically means Single Lens Reflex... i.e. mirror... Without a mirror it is not a SLR or...
I have a set of 35" Cooper STT tires mounted on a set of AEV wheels for the trail, or long trips that involve trails or two tracks. Then I have a set of Rubicon take-offs that I got cheap with stock wheels... I've probably gone through 5 sets of rubicon take-offs... $500-600 dollars for a set...
very nice write up. We were on the trail from the 17th till the 19th... Had a blast... camped just after the soup bowl and then again up by the springs...
I would agree, it didn't seem nearly as tough as I was expecting... we made it through with little difficulty and only very minor damage...
As I do each year, the family and I took a 5 week vacation... We covered around 7800 miles from Eugene, OR through the Rubicon, over to Moab, and then up to Mt. Rushmore before heading home...
