I currently have a 2m handheld and a single band mobile in the truck. Certainly those will do the job... and since I'm not needing the dual "listen" function frequently....

I understand that you are both saying there are work-arounds to achieve this function. I'm wondering if there are specific radios that allow this as a built-in feature.

I see most "dual" are "144/440".. Will some/any/most/all "dual" radios allow monitoring of two 2m (144) frequencies vs 144/440?

OBVIOUSLY I'm new to the LiFeP04 world.... Compare and contrast these 2 (non-self heating) options please. I DO see that one says "4 cells" and the other "16 cells", and they are packaged differently, but otherwise...?

And would the low temp itself damage the battery or would damage only occur is you tried to charge the "cold" battery?

Self heating would be important if the battery would be subjected to temps below....?
