Tariff impacts on HiLux imports?

I have been thinking about getting an old-school HiLux and most likely a clean one is coming out of Japan or the Mid-East. I know shipping and everything else is in turmoil with tariffs and various shipping/logistics issues. CONUS options are exceedingly difficult to find in a reasonable condition for reasonable money today so, I have been doing limited research for foreign RHD options.

What is the market like these days for a late 90's Hilux/Tacoma in good running condition? And, who are the best importers to work with?

Tariffs on foreign vehicles made before 2000 don't apply to new imports into the USA?

The new tariffs do not apply. Previous tariffs do. 2.5% on everything except pickups which is 25%.
