Tire time. Nitto Terra Grappler G3 vs Toyo AT3

Tire time for this heavy setup. We run the 295/70R18 with a load index of 129 (4080lbs)
Have near 50k on the Toyo AT2's doing a 5-tiure rotation, and have been FLAWLESS tires.

I was 100% for stepping into the newer Toyo AT3, but....

Identical specs with the single exception being a slight difference in actual tread depth.
Though the Terra Grappler G3 looks to be a $50+ cheaper per tire.

Interesting! Nitto and Toyo are sister companies, same ownership. The Nitto has a 55k warranty vs Toyo’s 50k.

Have you considered Falken Wildpeak at4w? Priced between Nitto and Toyo with a 65k warranty.

Honestly with the flawless performance of the Toyos, at this point Id be hard pressed to consider anything other than a Nitto/Toyo.
Stable with zero tread squirm out of the box, passable wet and snow traction, and tough as nails.

The AT3s appear to be getting poor reviews. I didn't investigate as to why. Other sizes you can fit with similar diameter are 35x11.5/12.5 and 285/75r18... and 325/65r18 (the size I have now) if your rims are 9" wide. I favor higher speed ratings, since they tend to have better rolling resistance. S is good, Q not so much.

Picking tires is tough since we are usually "married" to them for several years.

I'm running Toyo OC A/T III 35/12.50/R17LT on an F350 at @ 11,400lbs. Very happy.

Highway 58F/60R off highway 28F/30R or thereabouts.

E rated 285/75r18 are the same, 325 is 3860 lbs in E (65 psi), and 35s are 3970 in F.

Ive yet to see any reasonable poor reviews of the at3. Have any links?

I was impressed with my set of baja boss ats I bought a second set of baja boss MTs...I switch back and forth and they both shine..and I was a pretty died in the wool Toyo fanboy.

Have you run the Baja Boss ATs on a heavier truck? I'm really interested in them but I heard mixed things about them on heavy trucks. We're 9,600lbs.
