Alucab Knuckle-buster door latches

Any easy replacements for the stock Alucab interior spring latches on the door?

I junked the lower latch and just use the upper one, which solved one-half of the problem, but I’d like to save the knuckles on my other hand too.

Good question. Maybe some kind of draw latch, slide bolt, or multi-point latch

My GF hates the spring-loaded latch too

Also, 813 Designs makes a sturdy electric deadbolt, which can tie into the power lock system (there’s a power lock signal in some tailgate harnesses, like on my Gladiator)

Thinking the below might work … seems as simple as the operator. No real need for beefy or elegance but I’d love to buy a 813 Design. Got their back door hinge strap on a ACCC which s/b required mod.

fyi … despite the name, I ordered the stud-mounted turn latch you mentioned above. A single screw mounting is like even more simpler.
