    Bailey's 2010 Tundra w/ FWC | Adventure Build & Photos

We like the Slee sliders, although when we started the build there wasn't as many choices as we see now. I've had Slee sliders on an 80 series and they are certainly built strong for severe duty. On the daily practical side, we like the running board style to access the roof and traveling with a...

    Tundra rock sliders?

I like the Slee sliders. http://www.sleeoffroad.com/products/tundra_sliders.htm I prefer the running board style because I travel with a big dog, and you want to be careful of sliders that can allow the dog to get a leg stuck between the slider and the cab.

NC to OR on the TAT in my 4Runner

Check the sticker in the drivers door jam for max inflation. Keep it at or below that. I have the TG tires on my Tundra and they get slippy fast on clay mud. Every tire does. Dropping pressure won't make a huge difference and based on your overall journey I wouldn't drop pressure unless I was...

If you were going to have a do everything Tacoma or Tundra, what model would you get.

We had a 2008 taco double cab with the TRD S/C. Fun to drive but it fills up fast and the back seat is best for small kids and dogs. I didn't find the front seats particularly comfy either - I'm 6-0 and always had the seat as far back as it went. Previously we had a 1997 80-Series so we were...

Want to trade my built 1993 Locked FZJ80 for your built 100 Series

I see you have had a legacy of Cruisers, so you probably know this. As a former built 80 owner, you will dearly miss her. Since I sold mine I've had a '08 supercharged Taco and currently my 2010 Tundra is certainly a wonderful and capable rig. But the 80 Series are special, and when you get to...

    2004 Well Built Land Cruiser

FWIW you can't go wrong buying one of Romer's well built and trail proven rigs. He's a legend on Mud and helped me out a lot when I had my 80 series. If I was in the market for a hundy this would be tops on my list.

    aftermarket coil springs?

Old Man Emu are always a solid choice, and you may have a resale market for them, which you probably won't if you go with a set of factory springs.

Getting into Overland for real this time. Need advice!

You should talk to the guys at Mainline Overland since you are in Philly. Call Matt Henwood, he can help you sort out some pros and cons, availability, reliability, limitations, etc, plus you never know what you'll see in their shop. I built a 2010 Tundra Crewmax after owning a 2008 4 door...

    08+ Tundra Buyers Guide

There aren't really any issues to be aware of. Get the 5.7 V8. Decide what makes more sense for you: Bigger bed and smaller back seat or bigger back seat and smaller bed. Drive away happy! The TRD package is, in my opinion, a light duty off-road package. If your plan is to build it as an...

    What new Toyota to buy??

Drive a few Tundra/tacos and then think on it. I love my 2010 Tundra Crewmax but when I was shopping I wouldn't even drive one because I thought they were just too big and the taco would be fine. So I bought a 2008 taco 4-door TRD. It had the TRD supercharger which was fun but it's nothing like...

    Geometry and OME suspension

I've bought Old Man Emu 2.5 inch suspension lifts for the past 3 of my builds: a '97 Nissan Pathfinder, a '96 80 Series Land Cruiser, and my current 2010 Tundra Crewmax. Really happy in every instance, solid drivability on and off road, never had an issue with vibration or camber. On my Tundra...

    Tundra Overlander in progress.

What are the wheels you have on now? Do you know the offset specs? My Emu lift has positioned the factory wheels closer to the Light racing UCAs than I like, so I may need to consider an aftermarket wheel to run a larger tire.

    Any Tundra owners ?

Tundra's are a minority here, at least newer ones. I recently bought a 2010 Crewmax and so far I have no complaints but I've only had it a few months and 4000 miles. The motor is a pure joy to drive, gas mileage for me is 13-16 range, but its hard to keep my foot out of it. I'm coming off of 5...

Purple Lizard Maps 2010 Tundra build

Here is a picture of the Tundra on our tree cutting expo behind the house. Bone stock. Slee sliders and a complete Emu suspension kit with SPC UCA's are on the way, along with BudBuilt stainless front, engine and gas tank skids. Still researching wheel/tire options. Being fairly obsessed with...

Purple Lizard Maps 2010 Tundra build

I'm building a 2010 Tundra and figured I'd throw the shopping list out here for review. I had built a nice 1996 80 Series, sold it and bought a 2008 supercharged Taco, but we found the Taco to be too small and really missed the interior comforts of the Cruiser. Once I drove the Tundra with a 5.7...

    Chain's Tundra build

Welcome! and load some pics if you can. I'd like to know how you like the Camburg set up. I'm choosing a lift this week, and will also go with the BudBuilt stainless skids on my 2010 Tundra. Personally I'd use the sheer size of the Tundra to go RTT, pit will be less expensive and a trailer...
