2020 Overland Explorer Vehicles (OEV) CAMP-X pop-up slide-in pickup camper (renamed "Back Country" as of 2023)

Noting there are various puck heights available. Factory chooses original puck height based on the original purchasers pickup make and model. Dealerships can get other puck heights, but most people simply use hockey pucks or strips of livestock mats. Strips of livestock mat can be stacked to get...

Supertramp Flagship HT Hard-sided Slide-in Pickup Camper

On the leading edge of all of our previously owned and current pop-top campers (and hood of our pickup for that matter), a good layer of wax (when brand new and then after thorough seasonal cleaning), makes bug removal much easier. I suspect the same strategy would apply to glass or acrylic...

Supertramp Flagship HT Hard-sided Slide-in Pickup Camper

To my knowledge, the contrasting seam color is standard, but it is an option to not have it since it is masked and sprayed on afterwards. It's easier for them to NOT do the seam color if buyer doesn'twant it. 😉

    Any 7.3 gasser owners?

Hope this holds true. Odd the 2026 order bank is open. Not usually the case until July or August.

Supertramp Flagship LT pop-up slide-in pickup camper

The amp output of your alternator(s) doesn't change the voltage. The '23 and newer have the smart alternators that drop the voltage to reduce parasitic drag when the power isn't needed. Typically that means they'll give a good strong 14.5v or more only for a short period after starting the...

Supertramp Flagship LT pop-up slide-in pickup camper

Good call on the second battery. I personally think 200Ah should be standard battery size because even "light power users" will run into situations where 100Ah can require monitoring/planning (multiple rainy days with no driving, later adding power drawing appliances like electric tea...

Supertramp Flagship HT Hard-sided Slide-in Pickup Camper

Adding some images where the hardtop joins the tub. Through a proprietary process, the hard top is bonded to the tub. The roof section is painted (be that the standard white or one of the optional paint colors). The trim, molded into the hard top, is masked and coated a contrasting color...

    Any 7.3 gasser owners?

The 6.8 is pretty much as good as the 7.3 especially for pickup camper and lighter towing. If everything else ticks the boxes I want on a truck, I'd have no qualms with grabbing a 6.8. It does have a different transmission, but again, if you are not towing super heavy, shouldn't matter. 6.8 has...

    Any 7.3 gasser owners?

Until you posted, I didn't know they had discontinued the 148" wheelbase. Now I'm a bit freaked out as I cringe to think what I'd do to replace my truck if it was totaled. The Supercrew is just too long (to park in my shop, the breakover angle and turning radius). I drive my trucks for 10 to...

    Any 7.3 gasser owners?

Quoting my own post (above for full details of last years trip, rig/setup, distance and mileage). That was 1,443 miles, with camper, resulting in 13.31mpg for entire trip. And now some more data from a similar trip a year later. Quick recap of rig: Pickup info: 2024 Ford F250 Supercab (so...

Supertramp Flagship HT Hard-sided Slide-in Pickup Camper

I wouldn't be too concerned about it being a new model. As I mentioned, the roof itself is the same as the LT (dimensions, wiring, lights, fans/vents, etc) except a new mold was created to add the hard walls to the existing roof design. The layout, cabinetry, components, etc., from...

Supertramp Flagship LT pop-up slide-in pickup camper

Love this data and your data collection method. I've not gone so far as to measure one gallon at a time, but just by seat-of-the-pants feel, your table would explain and align with that experience. I installed the camper for the season a few weeks ago and we just returned from a week long trip...

Supertramp Flagship LT pop-up slide-in pickup camper

Hi @Steve_382 , Fairly straight forward and easy process to load and unload, but it just takes time. How much time will vary based on several things; How efficient you are at backing under the camper including making fine adjustments to get alignment and angle correct, if you use hand crank or...

Supertramp Flagship HT Hard-sided Slide-in Pickup Camper

The 24 gallon water tank and water pump are located under the front bench which keeps center of gravity low and forward. One of the three heat ducts runs into the basement and has openings to blow on the water tank. Winterization is simplified because the entire plumbing system gravity drains...

Here are some better shots of what the Supertramp LT and HT basement drawer look like. These are from our LT. We carry our 3-step stepstool, welcome mat, dust pan and dust broom, etc. in ours. I put a foam mat in the bottom to lessen wear and tear. Note that the camper interior mat has been...
