    Chevy Express AWD issue ?

I am not sure about the express transfer case , hopefully someone will chime in but the Astro van moved from a Viscous tc to an electronic tc in the late 90s and the actuator in electronic tc can fail without giving you any warning other than a spinning rear tire

Pics of your VAN! Post up!

Ya those look sweet, I am rockin an awd Astro right now but when it’s toast I will be moving up to a full size . I am trying to figure out if I really need a 4x4 or if I can get by with a 2wd and a lift .

DIY Raised Roof Chevy Astro - Advice?

Good luck with your build , I love my Astro van . They are a great platform but I doubt you will see any fuel savings over a full sized half ton . Reliable they are fuel efficient they are not .

Chevrolet suspension lift (2 wheel drive)

Great craftsmanship ! I currently own an Astro AWD but have been researching the full size vans as a replacement . A 2WD lifted van with a locker and winch would probably be a great option for my family and my wallet . When are we going to see some bigger shoes on that project of yours ?

Cooper Discoverer A/T3 Tires for Death Valley Racetrack?

I ran up to the Yukon this summer in a heavily loaded Astro van on AT3s in a weenie little lt235/75/15 flavour . Did lots of back roads and a chunk of the Dempster Hwy with no problems at all. Make sure you have a full sized spare or two if you are real worried and you should be fine .

Cooper AT3 vs. Falken Wildpeak vs. BFG AT KO

I have had the stt which shares the carcass with the maxx . It is a stout tire and road very nice for a mud tire . It is heavier but worth the penalty if they have your size . I would have bought the maxx in a heart beat if they made it in my size but had to go with the AT3 . At least I was able...

Cooper AT3 vs. Falken Wildpeak vs. BFG AT KO

One of the things that make the AT3 so good is the silica infused compound they use . It sticks very well in the wet . I have been running them for a year on my daily driver and am real happy with these tires .

    2004 Chevy Astro AWD "Astrid"

I have one in our camper it is a quality unit but I think it is overkill for a little van unless you are planning to use it as a food truck :)
