Love your project! I will be doing something similar to my overly-rusty gas 03 to turn it into a 'bush tractor'. She's already lifted and has a custom steel bumper and winch as well as steel rock rails/steps.

@Rallynut78 I'd personally mount them as close to the roof as you can, the light 'spray' especially on a white hood will be quite bright.

Not on my jeep, but I added a modified Princess Auto HOB rack (basically the same as HF) as a tongue rack for our trailer. It was a good deal for sure, but as you noted only half-decent thickness of steel which makes it challenging to weld.....and oh my the original welds on that thing were...

Looks like a good design. Are you doing mesh on the bottom? I initially wanted to but decided against it partly due to cost, partly due to 'difficulty' to install (ie. stretching to prevent sagging)...and the 75 million little welds. What program did you design that with?
