Getting back to tundras. Got the last doors fitted, and the awning mounted. I love my Tundra. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

is the 1st gen tundra one of the best platforms

The only complaint I have with the DC is the turning radius. It like driving the QE2. As far as the narrow comment, i would say it’s a 3/4 full size truck especially when compared to today’s vehicles. It’s almost the same exterior dimensions as a Tacoma. I compared my 06 tundra DC with flippac...

    TUNDOKA Another Gen1 Tundra "build"

Thanks. Me too! It’s getting much closer. One last door and then it’s just the finishing work. Guess I know what I’m doing in-between storms this winter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    TUNDOKA Another Gen1 Tundra "build"

Tailgate done. Integrated steps Still need to finish off all the little stuff. Plumb he water and propane. Side access storage etc…. But after 3 trips in 4 weeks, it’s amazing how much room we’ve gained. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Running an 06 quad cab. Great for our family of 3 plus dog. Would fit a family of 4 just fine. I switched to a flatbed, because I could, but it’s been perfect for what we do. Maintenance at intervals, and it’s been great. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    TUNDOKA Another Gen1 Tundra "build"

Time passes and we’ve been loving the flippac and tundra, but wanted a bit more. It broke a front shock while the wife was driving it (she swears she just turned right ) so that was an excuse to upgrade. Purchased shocks and front springs from accutune and archive garage heavy duty rear springs...

@DirtWhiskey they have a slide in lifting point. Not something you’d leave on all the time like some side in campers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Norweld weekender canopy SOLD

Put specs in the other listing. It’s 6’9” long 76” wide. I agree this is a great price for someone that needs it. I know as soon as it’s gone I’ll need it and won’t be able to find one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Norweld weekender canopy SOLD

I got this to adapt my flippac to, but it just won’t work for me. I’m keeping the tray, and making a custom base for my flippac. If I had room, I’d keep it, but I don’t. It’s a full weekender with DC/DC charging, drop down fridge slide, led lighting, and all internal wiring, including the feed...

    Rumpl blanket

No experience with the rumpl but love the design. I do however have a couple of the Eddie Bauer Sherpa fleece down blankets. They are super warm and compress moderately. They go on super sale every year around Christmas. HTH Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

"The Blue" - 06 Tundra DC Limited - Backcountry Camping Build/Adventure Thread

I’ll second the limit driving time per day. Also reduce expectations. If you think you’ll do a hike of x miles or Y time, reduce by half. The reciprocal rule applies as well, double expected time to get ready for anything. All of that said, I love our travel buddy. He’s 6 now and has been on...

Modify existing drawer/sleeping platform for two + fridge?

Not sure how much storage or headroom you require, but I’d look at removing a drawer, and placing the fridge slide at the bottom level. raising the whole platform above the fridge. Extend the platform over both 2nd row seats removed, and adding storage accessible from the back doors under the...
