    1973 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 - Oregon

It is time to sell my 5/73 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40. The body is straight, and the only rust is in the rear sill and a half inch hole where the factory fuel tank used to be. The rear quarters are comp cut and the front fenders have been cut as well. It has a Kayline soft top and BestTop...

    CreeperSleeper's '85 Xtra-Cab

Yeah, I know this was a long time coming... But here are some pics from wheeling the other weekend in no particular order:

I bough some 37x12.50r17 Kanati Mud Hog M/Ts and mounted them on my old beadlocks. Then I put the Iroks on my FJ40... I need to sell one of these trucks and the Kanati's will stay with whichever rig stays in my garage, but for now they look perfect on the mini!

    CreeperSleeper's '85 Xtra-Cab

I got the front end rebuilt with all new bearings and seals. She also got 30-spline RCV's! The best part of the whole thing was my 10yo daughter wanted to help me with reassembly. It was pretty special having her out there working with me.

    CreeperSleeper's '85 Xtra-Cab

Quick update... I have all the parts to get the front end back together with all the cool kid parts. Then it will be off to finishing the front bumper. And then she will be up for sale. I got the opportunity to buy my old FJ40 back from my buddy and I jumped on it. Unfortunately, I have no...

    CreeperSleeper's '85 Xtra-Cab

Well the Rover sold, so I will be getting some 30-spline chromoly shafts and birfs. I know RCV's can't be beat with the 300m star and warrenty, but I'm really tempted to save a couple hundred and get Marlin's made by Empi... They are on sale right now for stupid cheap. This truck will never...

    CreeperSleeper's '85 Xtra-Cab

I completely agree! One of my biggest triggers is being lied to... I don't have the seller's contact info, but I do know where he lives. I was almost ready to drive the 90 min to his house, but what good would it do? I guess I will just have to try and budget or sell something to do it...

    CreeperSleeper's '85 Xtra-Cab

Quick update: Cruisin the Woods was awesome as usually. If you haven't been, it definitely needs to be to be on your radar for next year. The truck worked great except for breaking a birf on the Friday run. When I bought the truck, I was told the front axle was fully built with RCV's. Not...

    CreeperSleeper's '85 Xtra-Cab

Well Cruisin' the Woods is this weekend and I didn't get quite as much done on the truck as I hoped. But, it is as good as it is going to get! I had a few buddies come over for a long Saturday to help me with the front bumper. Everything is cut and ready to be welded up, but I ran out of...

    CreeperSleeper's '85 Xtra-Cab

I finally got the rear bumper done! I'm pretty proud of how it turned out: Now I need to get working on the front bumper... I kinda doubt it will be done in time for Cruisin' the Woods this year, but we will see. On a completely unrelated note, I did pick up a new commuter for me...

    Need help with offline mapping

Well, I downloaded All in One Offline Maps per a different thread. I tried it out once so far, but it seems intuitive and the maps are good. Best part it is free.

    CreeperSleeper's '85 Xtra-Cab

I finally got a little bit of time to start working on my back bumper. The main body of it is almost done, then I'm going to trim up the back and sides of the bed. After that it will just be figuring out how to attach it to the frame. A picture is worth 1000 words, so here you go...
