Thanks Verkstad! I was Thinking of a isolation relay or just a standard 3 position switch that would force me to interrupt that connection by making a choice so it would never accidentally be connected all together. Alt/Off/Shore etc.

I know this is many years later. How did everything work out? im thinking about doing the exact same of wiring to the trailer power instead of running up to the engine bay on my 17 tacoma. I wanna keep it as pristine electrically for now. -Mike
