I do not have a quickfire yet to try out with my snowpeak - however I would also love to see how it fits in a Med (if there is room to spare I may get a quikfire). I love the potential dual use.

Thanks for sharing that idea - I never thought about using my ARB as a freezer and freezing bottle of water in a ice chest. That could come in handy for certain types of trips / uses. Also this guy sure did figure out a nice solution for FT travel overall!

I like what you have done - this is what I need as I like the fireplace in a can, but it takes up space which sometimes I do not have. I can use this for those times when I need to conserve space. If anyone finds a metal base similar that is not custom made like this post it here.

Looks good and being I love rice and beans, can you give me an idea how you cooked the rice (did you boil the rice in the skottle then add a can of beans)? Also yes that is precious with the toy vegies, that is one smart kid!

Thanks Rob for the changing info and simple instructions and the links. I have turned it over to my the husband to help out his camping geek. This is a much better solution then the Goal Zero Version which I could not sue since they were to stiff and short.:)

I have the same issue with my ARB and Yeti - as mentioned above I plug my ARB into the AC and no issues. I am thinking it works the same as if it was plugged into the DC. Bummer however it does not work with the DC like you said.
