I originally had bolts run through the bed floor and bolts underneath. Then I moved to rivnuts which you can buy on amazon at ~$10 for 100. Now you just thread the bolt in from the top and its good to go, no need to crawl under the truck.

@USAF04 You might try filling your brake fluid reservoir to just a little above the full line. Took care of that brake light for my 1st gen when it got cold outside.
