Open Differentials vs. Traction Control vs. Lockers

That is not a locker, it's a LS designed to put more pressure on a clutch pack, and when the clutch pack wears out you get neither.

Open Differentials vs. Traction Control vs. Lockers

I thought on this for a long time before choosing True Tracs F/R. They worked pretty good until I got into 2ft of snow on Mormon Emigrant Trail. I need more time practicing left foot braking sure, but a front Eaton Elocker is nagging at me. It would still do what I need on snowy roads and maybe...

    4R100 UJOR build question

$1300 which is normal for rebuilds around here, they agreed to the core swap so there's no "hostage". Factor in the shaft, tail-housing, and warranty and it's a no brainer unless you build transmissions.

    4R100 UJOR build question

I believe swapping the shaft requires rebuilding it. I just had a shop rebuild me a 4x4 4r100 and the took the 2x4 4r100 as a core, that's the easiest way. (keep your sensors and make sure the hardline on the side matches)

Pics of your VAN! Post up!

I've had three 4x4 vans since 2010, it's been a learning experience. I finally saved the coin for a Ujoint kit (the previous ones were Salem-Kroger builds). I chose the 6" coil swap at the last minute, it's the best riding 4x4 van I've had so far.

I've finally got all the parts for this conversion. With the F350 D60/10.5 axles installed I've been driving around in 2WD for months (Took about a month of after-work labor by myself.). Trans/Tcase ready to go in, we don't even need to jack it up. This is the 6" coil conversion on 285/65r20...
