    Just another M101A2 with RTT.

Finally got the basement renos smashed out, house sold in under 48hrs with no conditions, over asking. BOOM! Onto some fun projects at last! Got the rack welded up and mounted. Fully detachable from the tub, still need to add a few supports to the top lip of the trailer to help with lateral...

Got a local guy to make a few U bolts and reused the original shock mount. Also ordered new shocks while i was down there. $110 i think it was for two on amazon. The thing is a tank. Pulls beautifully now behind the ol 4 banger. Loaded a yard and a half of topsoil, sat pretty deep but sat back...

Got the cage down. Will start on ripping the mesh off for checkerplate lid. Axle quotes out and ready to order. Ballparking head height with the jack. Will cut the jack down to the essential mechanisms to help with overall weight reduction.. Plenty of head room even without a rack for the RTT...

Had a trial run with the jack and RTT to make sure everything worked as imagined. Give that a resounding yes. Might even leave the brackets so i can add wheels back on if i ever want to take the tent off the trailer rack. Just use the jack as a dolly.

    1953 M101A1 RESURRECTION

Any chance you could post a photo of how you bolted to the lip of the tub? I am planning on the same for my M101 A1. Just looking at if i can also attach it to the top lip for a little more rigidity. Any issues with the weight of the RTT on top now? Thanks for the build, will be using lots of...

How did you go? Same tent and will be doing this setup soon with your link. Thank you. Were you able to close it with the floor on still? Cheers

Wondering if anyone knows a rough weight of the old axles in my M101A? Trying to decide whether to swap it out before the cross country haul. The trailer came with 3 spare load range tires. Not too fussed about the look of the hubs. I see most people swap with the 3500lb dexter i believe. With...

Is mine an A1? It is all tucked underneath tarps at the moment so unfortunately didn't get much time with her before she was all tucked away. I plan on doing something very similar to the one you posted (yours?). I plan on ditching the side walls of the cage and using the top to wrap some...

Dstock's M101A1 build... or the reality, I needed a new project!

Hey mate, loving the detail youve put into documenting all of this. I'm certain i'll be using your post for a few more quick referrals. I was planning on attaching my RTT rack in a similar way to yours. What dimension steel did you use for the female end of your rack attachment. It appears...

Gday everyone. Big thank you to everyone for the inspiration over the past year or so. Planning on a cross Canada trip next year so have 14 months to get the trailer up and running. Got the key ingredients ready and am spending the winter touching up some final plans before i get stuck into it...

Nature Machines Adventure trailer 2.0, m101a2 rebuild

Hey mate, Looking good! I am in the process of planning my M101 A2 build as well. Just curious (mine is in storage for winter). With the front two bows (closest to your tow point), it looks as if you are planning on sliding down through the two sleeves in the side of the trailer. How sturdy do...
