Certainly more than I'd be willing to put a T3 Kruiser through, but pretty awesome nonetheless! (y)😁

Yep - Spot on! 👍 Been burning up the internet reading/researching on forums, etc... The Airstream has very limited suspension articulation. Really didn't have any expectation that it would compare to the Kimberley in that regard, but I also don't want to be overly concerned everytime I leave...

All excellent points and the reason it's still on the short list and I'm planning to head up to Ohio soon to see one in person. On the price sheet the options I selected came to just under 9k... Not overly concerned about having to fix things from time to time Airstream or otherwise. I'm...

Spoke with Dave this morning and had him send me the latest (2024) brochure/price sheet for the T Class. Worked up the price with the options I'd like and it came to $185,416 plus 15K for shipping ($200,416). Certainly better that the $217K estimate I worked up a few years back (likely I was...

Hail - Yes, definitely a concern and something to avoid and contend with... Can you point me to threads and/or other information related to Airstream's "never-lube" axles overheating/failing ? I haven't come across any in my research of the trailer. My understanding is they're simply...

Yes, same torsion axel as the other models - Certainly less than ideal.... On the plus side, they are "never-lube" axles. If the T3 could be had for ~$180K (with options) I think it would be a no brainer, but at ~$220K with options, shipping, and dealer markup; and taking into account my...

For the record, didn't mean to highjack this Kimberley thread... Apologize if it comes across that way. The earlier point about steep mountainous off roading and the limitation of the Airstream in that scenario is certainly worth noting and something I need to take into consideration... Cheers! 🍻

Totally agree. He now has a newer one with a 3" lift that he states is much better "off road." Some surprising and beautiful places he was able to get that thing to none the less... The new Trade Wind model is considerably higher with a 3" lift and larger diameter tires. Should be pretty capable...

Treefarmer1 always appreciate your feedback and recommendations. Did you get a chance to watch the whole video? Quite a bit of off-grid/boondocking capability is this particular Airstream model. Granted it's not going to have Kimberley's off road capability, but liklely enough to be taken off...

Agree they both have their strength's and compromises... But the "dealer mark up and shipping on Kimberley" as you've stated, makes this far from a straight forward choice. It's easily 80K more for the Kimberly once you add options... The Kimberley is definitely "cooler." 80K cooler/more...

Hey gents! Still trying to unload my house - I may have an offer coming in real soon. The Kimberley T3 is still on my short list, but I'm also considering the new Airstream Trade Wind. Toured one in person and must say the interior, layout, and optional rear hatch is very nice! They also...

Great discussion on real world use - Much appreciated! Seriously considering the Kruiser-T now since I intend to full time for a while... Not a big difference in weight, but with the added benefit of a little more space and a tandem axle. Based on the comments here and my own research believe...

Don, I'm relatively new here (posting) although I've been following a number of the threads about the Kimberley products for a few years now. I'm looking to order a new Kimberley this year and was initially leaning toward the Kruiser-S, but now I'm seriously considering the Kruiser-T. I'm...

Hope this didn't come across like an advertisement... The PowerBoost seems like a good option/fit. Really just looking for thoughts on 1/2 ton vs HD pickup for a Kruiser-S long term? Thanks again :)

Thanks again - Truly appreciate the opinions/insights! Looking to possibly pair the Kruiser S with a 2023 or 2024 F-150 PowerBoost. From Ford: "The 2023 Ford F-150 has a maximum towing capacity of 12,700 lbs when equipped with the 3.5L PowerBoost Full Hybrid V6 engine. The engine also has 430...

Helllo! Not new here, but my first post. I've been interested in the Kimberley Campers for several years now (specifically the Kruiser S-Model) and come back to the Expedition Portal from time to time to read the threads on Kimberleys. Now that I'm closer to retirement and much closer to a...
