    Storage platform tie downs

I used "single" E-Tracks, recessed them below the top. Like you, I did not want my tie down points to extend beyond the top of the drawer. Simply snap the "anchors" in when desired.

    Trailer Tops...Anyone Attempt This?

Alright, so I am contemplating acquiring a tonneau cover, trimming it down and re-fiberglassing it to fit as my trailer "lid". Anyone ever attempt this? Pro's and Con's?

    FJ Cruiser Rear Storage Drawer

Alright, so I built a trailer and no longer need this rear storage in the FJ. The drawer is built tough and has endured thousands of miles off road flawlessly. It has got heavy duty sliders, locking paddle latch, separate hinged compartment on the drivers side for quick access, carpeted top...

High Amperage Forklift Quick disconnects, battery disconnect plug ends clarification

Truefire, With the particular connectors I believe you are speaking of, there is no male or female ends. They are the same. Here is a picture to better illustrate...

    I am loving the MaxCoupler...

Picked up my MaxCoupler the other day from SoCal Teardrop (Gabe and the fellows are awesome people to do business with and the facility is fun to just walk around, looking at all the trailers in differing stages). The coupler was extremely easy to assemble; perhaps the only "nerve-racking" part...

Baja 1000 - My New Found Drug

Yeah, a wise man once said, "you only need it, when you need it". For $20 something it is well worth the peace of mind IMO. I do understand the concern you had regarding the said fee infringing upon your 'taco money', but the more devastating concern would be if it infringed upon your tecate...

Baja 1000 - My New Found Drug

First of all, thanks for the awesome trip report and all the pictures...I almost feel like I was there! Baja is an unbelievable place, we did a 10 day trip just over a year ago and I have been longing to go back ever since. My son and I are really wanting to go down for the 1000 next year. He...

Surely, someone has to be wanting to get rid of their Lowrance HDS-5 GPS!

Alright, so I have been givin' the green light to purchase a Lowrance GPS. Is there anyone looking to "off load" theirs? It seems as though no one ever gets rid of theirs! I suppose the are just, that good.

Show off you rooftop storage containers!

Lostmanifesto, I too have an FJ and am always looking at ways to rid the interior of camping gear. On a trip down to Baja, I placed a "Bass Pro Shop" box up top... It did do the job, but it certainly would not hold up long-term and I did not really like it up there. So I built a rear...

    Mojave Road Thanksgiving Weekend

TurboChris, Looked like you and your brother had a great time and great weather! Are those "camp" pictures at Beale Mountain? What happened to the American Flag at the Traveler's Monument? Looks like I now have a good excuse to go back out!! Thanks for the report and photos.

    Another Trailer build

System-f, Curious as to what your specific reasons are for not going with a center support from hitch to hitch; as I am currently debating this very thing. Thanks!

Thanks for sharing the photos...want to see more. I followed the race, as a matter of fact still following it via racedezert's stream and Weatherman's live broadcast. Hoping to go down for next years race. Congratulations to Andy McMillin and Mark. I am anxiously awaiting more photos!!

    Trailer Build

system f, Sorry for the delayed response! Yeah, I think I have all the warping issues taken care of. As for the uprights, yes...22". As for the skin, 16 gauge cause I got a really good deal. I just scored some tires for the trailer and need to mount them on my extra set of factory fj wheels...

    Tough Terrain Trailers

Their trailers look good to me. I'm I reading right...the "body" is made of a composite material? As far a the structural integrity, it appears that the company also specializes in building off road buggies to SCORE spec's and such, therefore I would assume they know a thing or two when it comes...
