    200Tdi Turbo Replacement

Who has replaced a turbo on a 200tdi? Workshop manual is a wee bit thin on details and not much shows up through searching. Is there anything crucial about the task other than oiling it up prior to running? Is there a trick to that? Thanks in advance for any input.

How many rounds in the cylinder of single actions?

Do you carry a full wheel or one shy? I've no single action experience yet, but I'm being called by an Uberti Top Break Schofield and just wondering about general consensus on that issue.

    Trail rated Liberty Ground Clearance

The specs I'm seeing for the 2011/12 Liberty are a ground clearance of 7.8 inches. I can't find a Trail Rated specific spec, are they the same? Thanks for any input.

The Vanishing Game by Land rover??

Apologies if this has been posted previously. I'm assuming this is a brand marketing strategy of sorts. I enjoyed listening/watching most of the story along with the scenery of Scottlan (how the waif turned maven spelt it) despite it's weak ending. https://thevanishinggame.wellstoried.com/...

LT77 intermittent clutch slippage after slave cylinder replacement

The clutch pedal in my 110 with LT77 went stiff one morning last week without any warning signs, I replaced the slave cylinder then went through the joy of bleeding with a poorly fitting bleed screw (Is it typical to seal threads on these with something?) Everything seemed fine but pulling away...

New Filson Cover Cloth Weekender 1/2 price, 8 left.

If I didn't have one already I'd buy one. Great coat, flannel lined, Moleskin in the pockets and around the collar, takes a zip in liner too. Unlike my Tin Cloth I can wear it while driving...

    Brunton Pocket Transit repair snafu

I sent my pocket transit into Brunton to repair the stuck declination adjustment. I called prior to shipping and was told $40-50 but they would call with a diagnosis and better idea of price before doing any work, turn around would be 2-3 weeks. 3 weeks later I start emailing and calling, 4-5 of...

110 with a clunkity clunk in the drive train, where to look first?

After a few hundred miles of highway driving the 110 developed a clunk in the drive train, upon take off. It's a bit chattery too. It's not the uj's, they've been replaced recently and are good. The rear propshaft has some play in the splines where it slides in/out and maybe that needs replacing...

Baxter: Lost Falls and The Other North Maine Woods

Went up to Baxter Sate Park for the weekend, right next to the NMW timber consortium area. Entered through the Matagamon gate and camped in the Trout Brook area. The 110 was left at the trail head and I hiked in, as is the way up there. Funny how camping out of a vehicle got me a bit spoiled...

    Which electric radiator fan?

My next project for the 110/200Tdi will be replacing the radiator and installing an electric cooling fan. I see many in the UK use the Kenlowe, seems to be the go to solution. I haven't found a source stateside yet but did come across Derale, has anyone used them or know of a good alternative to...

200Tdi Fuel Bleed Question: The saga continues...VICTORY!

Posted this on D-90, thought I'd tap the knowledge bank here too. While priming with the lift pump I can hear air bubbles in the tank and fuel/air moving through the lines. Should this be the case, should fuel be able flow through the injection pump and back to the tank by manually priming the...

200 Tdi Cold Weather Issue or Something More Sinister?

We're in a bit of a colder spell here, 9f today, down to -4 tonight and a good wind with it. 110 started ok, warmed up for ten minutes or so, the new Espar Airtronic D2 fired up without a hitch as usual. 5 miles down the road it starts to bog down a bit then pick back up, more gas pedal, more...

What have you replaced the temp gauge in your Tdi with?

I'm finally getting around to replacing my temp gauge. The electrical sensor, I'm guessing, is correct for the 200 Tdi but the gauge is from a V8 so figured I'd replace the whole deal. Tried to put in a Sunpro mechanical but neither the sensor adapters included nor the metric ones they offer...

Great Value on a 1000 Lumen LED Flashlight.

Coast HP 550, Well machined, great fit and finish, smooth push/pull focus and BRIGHT! Powered by 9 AA's in a holder. Costco has them for $50 apparently. This was a recent gift so I haven't put it through much of a test yet but if it holds up as well as the smaller Coast that my wife abuses...

    Allagash Ice Cave

This is from 3 trips I made to the NMW 2 years ago in the Discovery, including my first to the area. I haven't noticed a post here about the Ice Cave at Allagash Lake so thought I'd put one up. The Ice Cave is located at the NW end of Allagash Lake in the Allagash Wilderness Waterway(AWW)...

North Maine Woods Jaunt: Cliff Lake, Round Pond & Thereabouts

Just a short solo trip to see a new area and revisit a favorite. Cliff Lake looked appealing on the map for some reason, and Friday proved it to be so. Saturday I headed over to N Round Pond campsite via an attempt at Spider Lake along a tertiary road. 450mi round trip, 240 of those on...
