It has the 4L60 with fresh service. Flatland at 70mph it gets about 15-16mpg. Under 60mph I can get up to 18mpg. Before the larger tires it was getting about 20mpg on the highway.

I don't think a 15 will fit over the brakes. Not sure if a 16 will either.

I think there is a thread for the 2wd full size gm vans where you may find better answers. This thread is the AWD express van which is a completely different build underneath from your 2500 2wd. I installed Bilsteins on my AWD and it rides like a Cadillac.

I like the marine screw on ports for a clean install. My van is well insulated, 200ah lithium battery with 200w solar, 250a alternator, and 60a b2b charger. I just wish someone would make one of these into a mini roof mounted 12v unit.

Looks like a good deal. Especially with the high roof. I got my 2008 awd last year for $8500 and the same miles but it was a plain Jane cargo van.

Well I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the wind noise isn't from the van design then. Lol. Best of luck getting the rack and gear to be aerodynamic and quiet. I need to make a small deflector for my leading solar panel and hope that cuts the wind noise. Only other option is plenty of kilmat and...

Do you have anything mounted on the roof? My van was super quiet until I put a couple solar panels up top.

I did a fly and ride last fall for my AWD Express van as well. I couldn't believe how smooth an empty cargo van with 165k miles on it was. And over 18mpg! I'm mid build now with the 3/4 ton suburban springs and 3 inch lift just waiting to be installed.

I actually have the bolts and all from the surpreme suspension 3 inch lift kit I bought. I just won't use the lift blocks. Thanks.

Are the 2500 suburban springs compatible with the current rear shackle on these vans? My springs were just delivered so I was curious if I should have bought shackles as well before digging in. Cheers!
