We picked up a '23 Chase this weekend. We were looking at more built out trailers but decided that for our style camping -boon docking away from campsites- it made more sense to use the things we already have for tent camping instead of pay for all of it again in a loaded out trailer. Plus small...

SOLD-1993 Ford Bronco XLT 5.8L Prevolander

I'm selling my bronco as it does not fit in with the type of wheeling we do, and I would rather see it get used then sit in the garage. This truck made it from CA to NM and up to Denver and back. There’s no rust anywhere-CA truck for 98% of its life. Passed CA smog when I bought it and NM smog...

    Prevolander 93 Bronco

Finished up the rear of the bronco. Got the tracks installed and mounted the boxes with the strap. Next up is installing the Protofab rear bumper when its done being built.

    Prevolander 93 Bronco

In an effort to get the rear area more organized and useable I purchased two sets of Mac's tie down Versatie Track3 and some Frontrunner Wolf Packs. I had planned to put sound deadening under the existing carpet but didn't like the idea of mounting the track kits through the carpet. So...I...

    Prevolander 93 Bronco

Just finished some work on the Bronco. Spent some time and wire wheeled the entire axle and then sprayed it with undercoating. I also swapped out the stock diff cover for a Ruffstuff Specialties one. It's super thick and holds a little more fluid so I'm not worried about the rear end for a...

    Prevolander 93 Bronco

Took advantage of having family in town over the holidays to replace the heater hoses. A previous owner applied some caulk looking stuff to the firewall around the heater hoses. Had to scrape/ peel that off enough to get to the inlet and outlet of the heater core. After that it was a quick job...

Nice to see another Bronco on here @Benjamin74 . What are the specs on it? Are those F150 bedsides that stick past the tailgate?

    Prevolander 93 Bronco

Yeah the plan is to get the BajaHID retrofits one day but that money can go to more needed things until then.

    Prevolander 93 Bronco

More projects to do- replace the cracked heater hoses, replace the whining power steering pump, and eventually install the Threat Under Bed Shock mount I just got. Need to get some 13" travel Bilstein 5165s first and then I'll cut out the stock mounts.

    Prevolander 93 Bronco

I got rid of the tube but I'm pretty sure it was GE All Purpose Silicone Sealant Caulk which says its 100% water and weather proof.

No worries about stealing. I'm fine if we want to discuss anything Bronco here or we can start a new thread.

    Prevolander 93 Bronco

Thats a nice set up! What RPM are you at when cruising on the highway- 70 mph- 23-2400? Eventually I will go with Deaver Q80s and some longer shackles to go with my Threat under bed shock mount. Do you know what exact 5160 you're running in the rear? I am planning on some Bilstein 5165s until...

    Prevolander 93 Bronco

Ok thats good to know. Out here cruise is 75 so I need a little more speed. Nature is a drive away around here so I need an ok highway RPM. I love Desolate but Solo and Threat make good stuff too. I am hand picking from those 3 companies the different bits and pieces.

    Prevolander 93 Bronco

Thats a nice build! Mine should end up pretty similar to yours. How do you like the 4.56s and 34's? 3.73 and 33s with a tired motor doesn't make a fun vehicle (especially loaded up trying to pass on the highway/ grades) but 4.56s are a little steep until I get 35s. What Arms are you using? The...
