From what i've read, make sure the cables size are matched to the max amps your battery of choice can provide. And then the guy who runs this expedition portal has a channel and highly recommends in line fuses between batteries and bus bar. But I suppose modern BMS's will shut the battery down...
You gotta leave the top down and the back in, let the heat out, seal it up and run that AC on high and go for a walk for an hour, then pop the top and back. Only way in texas i've managed to get it cool by bedtime. but once there... it's cold:) just takes a while
I found a COMPAKS serial number riveted to the frame of mine. look on your frame towards the back stabilizer - passengers side. And the outside cooktop drawer - l found a COMPAKS stamp there as well;)
Errrr DON'T do that! Especially if you have LiFePo4 batteries. Maybe if you have AGMs. But there will be voltage drop on that long a wire run. A DC-DC alternator charge controller will boost the voltage back up to what the batteries chemistry, temp, and charge state require. I would look...
I don't know you're system, so with a grain of salt:
I have the 3 100ah AGM batteries. I've been troubleshooting a DC switch panel issue (bad ground inside one of my DC panel switches by the door- there's a lot of good stuff in our campers, but those DC on off switches lights, plugs, water...
I took some fingernail polish and painted a line around it.
also, what not to do, NEVER jack up our campers with the ARK HD lifting stabilizers (i bought and added them myself-a must have IMHO (get the short 25" and use blocks, not the 33" ones)
UNLESS the jack/stabilizer is straight down. i...
I'm not the expert FYI. But here are my thoughts.
My truck came with the Ford Factory 2" Snow plow kit lift. I'm running 35" wheels. I have the 2.5" hitch.
How I came to replace the 6" shank the dealer in indiana gave me on pickup, with a 10" drop hitch was to set the camper to level. I...
19, I keep the air bags at 6psi daily driving. i tried various psi while towing. Problem is, anything over 20psi with the trailer attached starts lifting the back end. and with 0 psi and my 10" drop shank on the hitch i'm still a smidge above level at the tongue ( about an inch is guess)...
I'm new so going through posts and replying occasionally. Having towed a new 15 from Indiana to Texas empty and watching this video I have some relevant thoughts. After filing and towing 'full' - some before after thoughts.
F250 6.7 tow vehicle
dealer threw in a load leveling hitch fyi, but...
So, I fixed it, not sure what I did. But apparently I did the right thing. pulled all fuses, pulled every breaker, turned it all off. left the AC off and the Inverter off. one by one started adding fuses back. Some marked spare or unused, are running stuff fyi. Goal was to get panel...
two thoughts. I do love this camper. mad about my electrical situation though. but i would buy it again, good design. I enjoy being in it. Flaws can be overcome.
Maybe your relationship directly with COMPAKs can help all of us, especially if they are trying to secure a reputable...
Are you in the new housing development across from barsana dham? if you look north across the creek, and 👋 wave, i'll wave back;) green metal roof haha too funny
I'll get pic of hitch later.
VOLTAGE LOSS... can I just pull fuses on systems until I isolate where losing voltage? (assuming it's not a dead cell) Any idea what the relays go to? see pic of my 12v fuse panel attached. (I'm thinking of creating my own manual for this thing! there are maybe...
I did this mod! slightly differently, i put a 90 on it and pointed it out the side, the end of the 1 1/2" 90 is threaded and I screw various ends on. typically it sits with a screened end screwed on it to keep the wasps out but i can drain it whenever I want. Great mod!
