1966 M416 in NEOhio. Tailgate added. $850 obo

Modified 1966 M416 trailer for expo or utility use. A tailgate has been added (sturdy enough to support weight as I have had my motorcycle in it), there is a panel patched into the front of the bed, and the floor was replaced with an aftermarket unit by the previous owner. Not pretty enough for...

    2013 BMW F700GS and F800GS specs released

Go into Thumpers under the Bike category for single cylinder info. Find some folks in your region and meet up with them to pick their brains. buying someone dinner or a beer costs a lot kess than buying the wrong bike! Honda and KTM being more reliable than the others isn't necessarily true or...

    2013 BMW F700GS and F800GS specs released

Again, all you could ever want to know and more is over at ADVrider for adventure bikes. Are you talking about getting a twin (798cc badged as a 650) or single cylinder BMW 650 as they are completely different animals in my opinion? If the Honda XR650L is also an option consider the KLR650...

    2013 BMW F700GS and F800GS specs released

I have an F800 and may be able able to answer some of your questions but if you go over to ADVrider.com there is a wealth of BMW and general bike knowledge available. The F650/700/800 GS has it's own dedicated section where countless hours can be spent researching. I love my 800 but I will...

    Show your Thumper!!

Here is my current little Thumper during a 2 day 600 mile ride. 2007 KLX250S I picked up 2 months ago and has quickly become one of my favorite bikes to date. Very little power but brings a big smile to your face every time you ride it. Some of my favorite past Thumpers. KLR650 DRZ400S...

    4Runner Rust Question

The first one isn't bad at all and it seems to just be surface rust. Nothing like we get in Ohio! I purchased my '97 Land Cruiser in North Carolina with that amount of rust and people just couldn't believe how clean it was compared to Northern vehicles. Don is right on the money on this...

    Rightovercrest's M416 build

I finally got around to uploading all of the pictures of my little M416 build that has taken place of the last few months and figured I would share them since I got a lot of inspiration from right here. After selling my Tacoma last fall I quickly realized that I needed an all purpose trailer to...

    The $6 Hood Blackout...

I was looking for a way to clean up my girlfriend's Civic hubcaps a few months ago after I saw the price for replacements and grabbed the can of Plastidip thinking it would adhere to the hubcaps better than spray paint. Plus I already had some in the garage. So far they still look good and...

Subaru owners: Let's see your expedition rigs!

Wow awesome GL. They have all but disappeared in the midwest thanks to heavy salting. I am in between subys right now so thanks for sharing.

    Considering a Bike - Suggestions?

I also made the switch from a KLR650 to a DRZ400 and never looked back. Neither of mine ever looked this nice except the day they rolled off the showroom floor. The DRZ400, KLR, DR, and XR are all great bikes. A twin does make eating up the road a littler easier for the long haul but at the cost...

M416 wheels and harness free for expo members

I have 3 M416 wheels (2 have tires mounted but they are in rough shape. I did tow home 80 miles on them), most of stock wiring harness, and the OEM lug nuts free to expo members. I will not ship and they must be picked up in Akron, Ohio. Just trying to help someone out doing a full restore.

    Would you.....

Not a bad price and if the timing belt has not been done try and negotiate some $ off of the price to afford to get it done. Or if you are handy do it yourself and spend your savings making the truck how you want it. Also, see what other service records are available. Not a big deal though as...

    4th gen 4runner build capability?

Manual calculations based on GPS mileage over several tanks of fuel. I run Yokohama Geolander ATS tires which do help a little over a mud terrain and I cover a lot of highway mileage. I agree that the computer is typically about 2 mpg more generous than actual but with a 32" tire the odometer is...
