When I bought my '97 the PO told me the sunroof did not work. I didn't think to ask what was wrong with it. Now I would like to get it working if possible, but I have been hesitant to press the button to open it for fear that it might move enough to cause a leak without being able to close it...

The power seat recliner on my 96 SR doesn't work. Thinking that I could remove the motor and move the back where I wanted it and then reinstall the motor to hold it in place, I removed the whole mechanism from the side of the seat. Took the motor gear box off the mechanism . Still can not move...

Hi all, Don't post here much but really enjoy reading build reports and travel reports. I am looking at a 1997 Montero with 158,000 miles. Any thing that I shoud look out for on these vehicles? Any advice on what to check before buying? Thanks for your help. MKR
