I traced the wire back to a relay for the AC compressor. At high revs its supposed to shut down the AC compressor.

Also, would be cool to see a stickied thread for pics of Space Wagons IMO.

Cool, I'll keep this in mind. I've been using a different additive for the time being, but I need to pick up another box.

The Space Tractor: Project '89 Delica

My advice for those who chose this route is much the same as when I drove VWs. Chose to make 'good time' with an emphasis on 'good'.

Had a thought this morning then did some checking. First, I know you guys live in the Portland area and they require some level of SMOG checking inside the city. I don't know if this applies to you or not. In any event, instead of an EGR delete you might consider just disabling the EGR gate...

What did you do to your Mitsubishi today?

    EGR delete on 4D56t.

EGR Delete Okay, the EGR delete is done. It's a time-consuming thing, but not too difficult to make happen. 1) Remove driver's side seat. 2) Remove turbo bay cover 3) Remove air intake channel (including steel middle with 2x 12mm bolts) 4) Unplug all vacuum tubes 5) Detach two 12mm bolts...

    - I've got the materials to fab parts for the first and I plan on cracking the seal on a bottle of single malt when the EGR is gone. I'm planning on plumbing a pyro probe and gauge into the 0.25 inch upper plate of the EGR delete when that's done. Right now I'm waiting on some reasonable weather...

Ha, yeah. They're on their way out though. The "Chamonix" on both panels is fading and once I get the power plant dialed I think paint is next.

It's especially rainy today, but the materials I bought to complete an EGR delete showed up late yesterday afternoon, so I'm going to look for a break in the downpour and hope for the best. Maybe tidy up the garage in the meantime. Yeah, I do plan on removing the EGR on my 4D56t. I have a...

Spent time in the guts today, mostly prepping for EGR deletion. Still have to Fab up the plates for this. Biggest question of the day is this switch on the IP. Anyone know what it does? Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

We're leaving on a four day into BC where I imagine I'll be snapping glamor shots of my van. Check back soon! Today I CLEANED the literal crud out of it. Twenty-six years of mostly Japanese boogers, lightly frosted with dog fur. I feel dirty now. Also, added my medallion.

Okay, some good news! Late yesterday afternoon (this far north it was dark) a box came from RightDrive. I thought this was a box of door seals I ordered so I put it in the garage on the workbench and let it chill for the night. When I checked the email from them this morning I realized it was...

Okay, been noodling this one over plenty the last couple of days. I found a thread on a UK Delica board the describes the process of taking our black instrument panel to white and thereafter lighting the area with brighter lights. Yeah! Night driving, I just sort trust that I'm not going too...
