Do you have a shell on your truck? I have a boxer as well and have my first kid on the way. I am thinking that wife, kid, and dog in the backseat of my quad-cab dodge 2500 might be a big tight. I normally let my dog stay in the cab as he is spoiled but a shell might not be a bad idea.

As far as cold weather camping goes ive been reading through this and have come to a couple of my own conclusions. Soft sided campers are not the best but can get the job done. I would rather go with an Alaskan for cold weather camping if I did plan to do that.

How well do the FWCs do in cold/wet/windy weather?

I'm hoping to find a camper for my 3/4 ton short-bed but am having trouble finding one.
