How I convert my JKU daily driver into a "sleeper" in 20 minutes or less.

I have not tested it but I plan on securing it to the floor before leaving. I have not yet decided how but I'm Ieaning toward removing the loops on the floor and use simple L shape brackets to bolt it down using the well nuts in the floor

How I convert my JKU daily driver into a "sleeper" in 20 minutes or less.

I forgot to say. I bought a Napier Backroadz SUV tent. When setting up camp I will setup the tent, empty the jeep putting everything in the tent, including the ARB fridge. My gear will be protected from rain and the tent will also serve as a changing room.

How I convert my JKU daily driver into a "sleeper" in 20 minutes or less.

Using 2x8 for the frame also gives me a bit of storage between the top boards and the back of the rear seats. It can be used to put pillows, blankets, maybe a first aid kit or anything else I can fit in there. Obviously this whole topic would be useless without measurements so here it is...

How I convert my JKU daily driver into a "sleeper" in 20 minutes or less.

The front end side has two larger pieces that I trimmed to cover has much space as possible. They each have a 2x4 at the front underside to cover the space between the boards and the back of the seats so the whole platform is flat. They are bolted on that doubled 2x8 that I mentioned before...

How I convert my JKU daily driver into a "sleeper" in 20 minutes or less.

There is a 6" to 7" gap between the frame and rear door. I decided to build a small storage box to fill this gap. I use T-Nuts and hex bolts to bolt it on the frame. It does not look like much but it is actually quite usefull. It fits 3 bottles of propane, 1 gallon of anti-freeze, 1 litre of...

How I convert my JKU daily driver into a "sleeper" in 20 minutes or less.

I'm sure I am not the only one around who wants his daily driver to be just that when he's in the city but turn it into sleeper when going on a week-end camping trip or a 10 days backcountry adventure. I wanted something that I can easily install when needed and can be just as easily removed...

Replacing "glow chips" in Campfire in a can

From the replies so far it seems I can use pretty much anything that is available on the market for propane firepits. It does not really make sense now but for some reason I assumed I could only use the same type of material.

Replacing "glow chips" in Campfire in a can

It is not clear on the website but campfire in a can seem to claim that theirs are ceramic while others are vermiculite which if I understand is not too healthy to burn. I had never heard about beads, do they get red when they're hot? That's the nice thing with ceramic chips, they kinda look...

Replacing "glow chips" in Campfire in a can

Does anyone have a suggestion for replacing the chips in a Campfire In a Can ? Mine have pretty much all turned into dust over the years and since the company is not really in business anymore I cannot buy replacement from them.

    Post up your drawer/storage system

Disclaimer: I am no builder so this is not high quality work and since I care about functionality and not much about look, it is not the most beautiful drawers you've seen around....but I am happy with the results. I wanted drawers on my bed slide where I could put the small and medium size...

Emergency Recall Order Issued to The Lite Cylinder Company, Inc.

Just a piece of information for Canadian owners of Lite Cylinders (I own two 10#). The online store I bought them from told me today that there is a voluntary recall in Canada. They are checking the details with their supplier to find out if we are talking about a credit or refund, how much...
