I have not tested it but I plan on securing it to the floor before leaving. I have not yet decided how but I'm Ieaning toward removing the loops on the floor and use simple L shape brackets to bolt it down using the well nuts in the floor

I forgot to say. I bought a Napier Backroadz SUV tent. When setting up camp I will setup the tent, empty the jeep putting everything in the tent, including the ARB fridge. My gear will be protected from rain and the tent will also serve as a changing room.

Using 2x8 for the frame also gives me a bit of storage between the top boards and the back of the rear seats. It can be used to put pillows, blankets, maybe a first aid kit or anything else I can fit in there. Obviously this whole topic would be useless without measurements so here it is...

From the replies so far it seems I can use pretty much anything that is available on the market for propane firepits. It does not really make sense now but for some reason I assumed I could only use the same type of material.

It is not clear on the website but campfire in a can seem to claim that theirs are ceramic while others are vermiculite which if I understand is not too healthy to burn. I had never heard about beads, do they get red when they're hot? That's the nice thing with ceramic chips, they kinda look...

Does anyone have a suggestion for replacing the chips in a Campfire In a Can ? Mine have pretty much all turned into dust over the years and since the company is not really in business anymore I cannot buy replacement from them.
