I third this. Drawer slide prices here were the best I could find for 60" 500# rating. Plus they did my gas strut mock up. I probably would have never figured it out.

What about a metal blade on a circular saw with a straight edge against the saw fence? Set the blade depth just a hair deeper then the metal. I've done it before but if you're doing a lot of cuts I would not recommend it.
