    Isuzu NPS 300 camper build

Yes, normally I would allow about the same usable fuel amount. I have always watched my fuel use and if I switch tanks when the warning light comes on, there is nearly always about 20 litres left in the tank, because of my confidence with this I was willing to stretch the distance after the...

    Isuzu NPS 300 camper build

We recently did a trip to WA and back, over 8,500 kilometres in 4 weeks. On the way home we drove from Kalgoorlie to Ceduna without buying fuel in between, 1400 kms, used 259 litres of diesel so about 18.5 L/100. Gotta love the range with having 2 x 140 litre tanks, that was with a tail wind of...

    Isuzu NPS 300 camper build

Haven't posted anything for a while, just enjoying the use of our camper. I have just fitted a scissor lifter to the front of our pop top roof, just as an aid to prevent side sway, not that it was a big problem. One thing that this has highlighted is that I am so glad I did my pop top sleeve...

    Isuzu NPS 300 camper build

Just an update on fuel economy, previously getting between 20.5 and 21 L/100k Now after the remap getting 19.4 L/100k . I would typically be running around 5500KG loaded for a trip, full fuel & water etc . Tyre Pressure; I have applied the '4psi' rule and 70 on the front and 80 on the back seem...

    Isuzu NPS 300 camper build

I have no regrets about mounting the awning to the pop up roof instead of the fixed wall. 2 nights ago we were camped beside lake Lonsdale near the Grampians in Victoria and it blew a gale all evening and well into the night. the awning survived without damage, tied at 6 points to keep it safe...

Suspension Seat Isuzu NPS crew Cab

I picked up a pair of nicely shaped and compact seats from a 2000 ish holden astra. Same seats I used in the coaster bus and I found them quite comfortable on long trips. They are about as compact a seat you can get with flat runners. I took my driver seat out and just sat the astra seat in for...

    Isuzu NPS 300 camper build

Just double checked pics of ATW; awnings both sides and body mounted, I wish I could conceal mine like that (maybe next build?) EC roof mounted and my roof is same concept as EC but I noticed they do have a scissor type spring lift fitted to the front and I wonder if that is for added stability...

    2001 Mitsubishi FG637

looks like your camper is well advanced so this might be too late but I would definitely recommend using a diesel powered water heater. you will have plenty of diesel on board, the heaters use stuff all fuel to heat the water and diesel is a lot cheaper and easier to use than LPG. It also means...

    Isuzu NPS 300 camper build

Opinions sought!!! . . . I have ordered a 4.5m awning for the camper but I'm still debating whether to attach it to the top of the fixed body or to the roof. . My only concern with the roof mounted version is it might cause the roof to sway a bit on even slightly windy days. Anyone got any...

    Isuzu NPS 300 camper build

I met a guy in the landrover club that had a 6x6 pinny, Peter .....? very interesting and capable vehicle. As far as longevity goes, I don't think it is a problem, they are not working hard all the time and I will never put enough K's on the clock to wear it out. Mine is a 2008 model with just...

Cuddy, no DPF changes and as JohnRogers mentioned, I was also told there is little to gain from a DPF delete in terms of power. If the tune company was caught doing DPF deletes they can be hit with big fines so he wont do them. I'd also prefer to keep it all legal.

    Isuzu NPS 300 camper build

G'day Owen $1595 No change to DPF but did make some changes to the EGR program My camper would not fit on the Dyno due to the height restriction of the room it is in so all the mods were done on the road. So no dyno run sheet.

    Isuzu NPS 300 camper build

I have just had my NPS300 re-mapped by a local company, Geelong Performance Centre. There are 2 hills nearby that I use as a ‘yard stick’ for performance, one leads up to the freeway entrance at the top of a hill and it is a 60KMH road. Before the remap, I could not maintain 60 in any gear, so...

    Spotlights

Like Owen said, I don't plan on doing much night driving, but in a recent trip where we headed off after work on a Friday evening saw us doing just that and the last 10 or so k's was in tight forest tracks in the dark. I have a set of the cheap Chinese LED driving lights, paid about 230 for a...

trackadda, paid about 2300 for the 3 tanks including fitted senders and a gauge with 3 way switch, Yes they are custom made but most tanks are, its the only way to get efficient use of the space. .. made my own supports and suspended them with 12mm longthread and nyloc nuts.

    Isuzu NPS 300 camper build

Gary, while the actuators are inside the vehicle, the pop sleeve is inside the actuators, so when the roof is down, the sleeve folds to the inside of the camper and away from the actuators. The roof is held down tight by the actuators but I still fitted 2 typical pop top lock down catches to the...
