    Harv3589's M101 CDN2 build

That's coming along nicely. Looks sharp. I've had my trailer for 5 years and still have several projects ahead of it.

    Harv3589's M101 CDN2 build

Looking good. In regards to the tongue weight, you might think about mounting the j-cans on the rear of the trailer or on each side. Depending on your travel needs, you don't want j-cans inside where your supplies have a chance of getting soaked due to a leak. Check out this thread by...

    Harv3589's M101 CDN2 build

That's a nice looking trailer, good work. Are you going to shift the axle location? If not, be careful as you are adding a whole lot of extra tongue weight with the extra steel and loaded jerry cans\nose box. Safe travels...

    2011 BMW F800GS

2011 BMW F800GS in the fast orange color with only 1,420 miles. That's right only 1,420 miles, never laid down and always garaged. Life has taken a different twist for me so I no longer have use for a larger duel sport. I have added numerous farkles to the bike to get you where you...

    FS 800 Gear

I didn't know BMW made cars until I passed one. As stated previously, go to the ADVrider and check out the GSpot/Parallel Universe forum. You'll get first hand information from a bunch of riders. Check out the sticky thread for an index of various links. I personally like Adventure Spec...

    First Bike - 1979 yamaha dt175f - Need advice

If it runs, buy it quick. For a 30+ year old bike they do pretty good. Especially for someone to learn on. I started out with a '79 DT125 and loved it, of course that was in '79 also. That little 125 hauled me all over Kansas back-trails in the day. If I could find one local to me that ran...

M101 CDN and '04 Land Rover Discovery

Sorry, but you're wrong in this instance. The OP has a 1/4 ton CDN (Canadian) M101 not the heavier American M101. Toss the axle and get a straight one.

Trailer lid truss design ideas - Looking for feedback ii

What were you planning to use straps for? Is doesn't look like there is much room between the bottom of the triangle and the lid. Are you looking at something being that heavy that the cords wouldn't do the job? I like the idea but I would scrape the triangles and replace with circles or...

    Newbie Motorcycle Tripping Questions

How about a hammock with rain fly? That can delete the tent, mattress, ground cover and even a sleeping bag depending on elevation. Also you could talk a buddy into allowing you to share his stove. If 60 guys are going surely there would be one that would do it. :victory:

I want to make a tent for my M101 CDN

Does anyone have info on a supplier of custom tent parts? I'm not necessarily looking at making it myself but need to find individual parts that attach the canvas to the side walls and roof on something like a pop-up camper. Thanks, Jerry

    M-416 Bumper Design

Duh.. read his comment in the post where the swing outs are left off:gunt: Let me rephrase my question: What do you hope to gain by adding a bumper? If it's just to add recovery points why not strengthen the trailer frame at the recovery points you want w\o the bumper, after all the bumper...
