Resurrecting A One Owner Disco 1- A LR love story

Nice truck! These are a labor of love, that's for sure. I miss my D1 dearly, it doesn't have the vintage charm of my LR4 but the 4 has a charm all its own, with all modern comforts and the addition of a nearly 400hp V8. The Rover "personality" is still present... it does weird things sometimes...

How Soon Before They’ll Be Coming For You? Busting Diesel Deleters Continues…

It was a few years ago... 2018?17? A couple importers who brought in and sold Td5 and Puma Defenders but "backdated" them with VINs of older trucks. It wasn't a lot of trucks, but IIRC they all got crushed.

    Maybe New LR4 Owner??

Been DD-ing my LR4 since 2020, had a D1 for a few years before that (with a Chevy in between). IMO, it's an old Rover, and you should treat it as such. Preventative maintenance is key, but don't go overboard or you will spend too much money unnecessarily. GI got mine with 46k, now 100k. 1-...

    Venom Tires-anyone used them?

There are a couple 19" options, if you need to get something from Walmart I'd go with these: Nokian Outpost AT A touch bigger than stock, but will fit no problem even int he stock spare location. XL rated, and Nokian makes a great tire.

New tent lightweight and everything is replaceable -FeatherLyte Outdoors

I like it a lot. I'm interested in these lightweight ones (GFC, IO, etc) to pull them on/off easier. I've had a softshell RTT, entertained a big boy hardshell but it doesn't make sense to keep a 175-200lb weight on top of my truck when it's my daily. I'd be only using them maybe 1 weekend a...

New To Us D5: Impressions and Comparisons to LR3

110 would definitely be my choice if I had to pick a successor to the LR4. I do love the versatility of the D5 but when the new Defender exists it just is better in every way if you plan on making it a more "adventure" truck. Plus that interior is just so... good. I don't love the other modern...

RR/LR3/4 EAS Front and Rear Valve Block Rebuild with Pictures!

Yeah, I saw no leaks with the soap test. Snugged up the air lines yesterday morning but forgot to pull the EAS fuse last night. Going to do a sag test tonight and if it fails order a new block from FCPEuro.

    Prospeed product interest

Working with Prospeed to get a batch of items shipped stateside. Originally just compressor guards, but some have asked about other items and Prospeed will ship whatever. Let me know who is interested and I when I have a total number (I’ve posted here and LRworld) I can get a final price...

    L322 lift

Get a GAP tool or Xlifter and just program it in or boost the truck up when you need to. No reason to run a big lift all the time and ruin the driving my experience.

F150 Tremor vs diesel Silverado ZR2?

AT4 = Z71 AT4x = ZR2 AEV Bison is another step above AT4x/ZR2. If you have the cash money, that's a stellar package.

    Looking for Tents

I'm in the market as well for a 6p car-camping tent (something that fits two cots with extra room). My tops are: MSR Habiscape Coleman Skydome (lots of good experience with Colemans over the years) but make sure it has the FULL COVERAGE FLY. Many don't. Marmot Limestone I'm also entertaining...

Advice requested:$35K budget, what are you buying and why?

My FIL's crew cab Silverado can hold one 55lb German pointer on the floor and a 65lb pointer pit mix on the center seat (he likes to curl up), flanked by two car seats. Both dogs have traveled on the floor, too.
