Nice truck! These are a labor of love, that's for sure. I miss my D1 dearly, it doesn't have the vintage charm of my LR4 but the 4 has a charm all its own, with all modern comforts and the addition of a nearly 400hp V8. The Rover "personality" is still present... it does weird things sometimes...

It was a few years ago... 2018?17? A couple importers who brought in and sold Td5 and Puma Defenders but "backdated" them with VINs of older trucks. It wasn't a lot of trucks, but IIRC they all got crushed.

There are a couple 19" options, if you need to get something from Walmart I'd go with these: Nokian Outpost AT A touch bigger than stock, but will fit no problem even int he stock spare location. XL rated, and Nokian makes a great tire.

110 would definitely be my choice if I had to pick a successor to the LR4. I do love the versatility of the D5 but when the new Defender exists it just is better in every way if you plan on making it a more "adventure" truck. Plus that interior is just so... good. I don't love the other modern...

Yeah, I saw no leaks with the soap test. Snugged up the air lines yesterday morning but forgot to pull the EAS fuse last night. Going to do a sag test tonight and if it fails order a new block from FCPEuro.

Bumping this up. Just rebuilt the front block but still getting 1/8-1/4" sag overnight. Rears are not sagging. Any ideas?

Get a GAP tool or Xlifter and just program it in or boost the truck up when you need to. No reason to run a big lift all the time and ruin the driving my experience.

I have a Teton double and a Sierra frontcountry duo 35. The sierra is a nice bag and packs small, the Teton is huge.

AT4 = Z71 AT4x = ZR2 AEV Bison is another step above AT4x/ZR2. If you have the cash money, that's a stellar package.

My FIL's crew cab Silverado can hold one 55lb German pointer on the floor and a 65lb pointer pit mix on the center seat (he likes to curl up), flanked by two car seats. Both dogs have traveled on the floor, too.

I'd love to replace my LR4 with a SCV8 D110 in a few years. Seems ideal.
