Trip report- Bikepacking C&O and Gap trail

That would be great! I’ll have to look into it. We really enjoyed this trip and have talked about traveling to do another route. This was an easy way to start because free hiker/biker campsites are already mapped out along the route. I would be down for more of a challenge now.

Trip report- Bikepacking C&O and Gap trail

Having finished editing all the videos I wanted to at least post the ending as well. In the end it was 354 miles that we biked with 99% of it being off pavement. We camped 5 out of the 8 days of the route. Here are days 6-8.

Trip report- Bikepacking C&O and Gap trail

In 2020 I was planning to take three weeks and hike the John Muir Trail. However, the pandemic caused too much uncertainty for me to commit to an endeavor of that scale. As a consolation prize my wife agreed to do a bikepacking trip with me on the C&O/GAP trails. We had tried to do the C&O...

Only ever had death wobble one time after I got an alignment. I ended up doing a dual steering stabilizer to help with bump steer...

    Not your everyday KJ

Wow that is an amazing Jeep. When I got to the part in your story about the bumper being ripped off I was hoping you were going to replace it with something steel. You did not disappoint. I have looked into the KJ several times. In the end I think I am going to go with a WJ to save some money...

    I'm back baby..2004 WJ

I am about to buy one of these as well. Its so hard to find one with everything I want (4.7-quadradrive- < 100k miles). Keep us up to date on what the vibration is. If its a common problem I will be checking for the same thing when I test drive my next WJ.

Subaru Forester Bumper Build for E.J.

Just curious to how much steel was used during the build. In the picture it looks like you only had one sheet but I am assuming there was several stacked together. Also any word from Josh about how this thing performs offroad? have you hit it on anything? noticed the approach angle clearance...
