    Light weight rock crawler trailer

I might have missed it but where did you get the wheel for your tongue jack, did you just weld it on to the bottom of the foot? Does it rotate well under weight? I need to find something like that for my trailer.

Here is an idea...Shipping would kill it though

Build your own trailer and then buy one of these tents! Modular depending on size of group you are camping with. I think you would have to make special arrangements to get it shipped here but with a starting bid of $2K it might be worth it. It might run you close to a grand to ship it, who...

Question about Reg cab taco's with 5 spd and rear locker?

While reading in an early issue of Toyota 4wd owner, the one with the "history lesson" in it about all the Toyota 4wds, I was reading about the Tacos. It said that in 96 the Reg cab came with an available off road package that included a rear locker. I know that 96 'Runners came with a few...

    Initial Impressions: Hankook ATM

I was going to pick these up for my 80 series but they only come in a load range E. After having BFG AT's in an E range I wanted to go with a D range. So I opted for the Nitto TG's. The hankooks look alot more aggressive in person. Pics don't do them justice. Great looking sidewall too.

    A climbers paradise.

Reminds me of The City of Rocks, up in southern Idaho. Awesome place to climb and literally Thousands of routes, you could climb there everyday for a year+ and never climb the same pitch. It's all excellent quality granite. Lots of sport and trad routes too. If you have never been there before...

    Electric brake, E-brake options?

Ok now I am wondering if there would be any difference in the forces involved using the indy arms or normal leaf springs. I was thinking, leafs are mounted to the top of the axle, Arms would be connected to the center line of the axle. Leafs would be mounted somewhat in the center of the main...

    Electric brake, E-brake options?

Not a bad idea. I'll have to look into that. Bottom line, we won't ever know until I actually build this thing. (That might be a while,......anybody want to throw me a small grant?) :D
