    My diesel YJ

    Nice Jeep, My friend Paul has a 79 CJ7 with a 5cyl Merc turbo Diesel,and is running the AX15 from a Cherokee and has a dana 300 T-case, he is running 456s and 33"s and its just a little slow but hasnt turned up the fuel yet, he is getting around 26-28 mpg from it. the Merc is a high reving...

    If you can't afford a winch.

    I would go with a High Lift, its a very usefull tool, and much more reliable and safer than a cheap or even a better comealong, I have a special head that I can put on mine that I have used to split fire wood before although kinda slow going but worked great for hardwoods, even pressed out u-joints.

    Check into Eastwood Tools, they have a nice Plasma cutter, made right here in the USA in Pa in fact, For just under 500.00, and they just offered a great deal on a Plasma cutter and a Tig welder for 1000.00. I just purcased my Tig a month ago and wish they had this deal...
