    Rango.....1942 Willys MB

Looks like a fun trip! BTW, what happened with the front wheel bearings? Also, do you think you just need to re-seal the front adaptor/transmission or do you think the leak will require a more surgical repair?

If you can stand the lower top speed, then I'd go with the 5.38s as a simple solution before I'd re-power etc, otherwise, I'd maybe look into a different transfer case option.:coffeedrink:

What became of your idea to retrofit a low range quadratrac unit? Personally, I'd go with 4:88 gearing and the quadratrac unit to retain drivability and still have an ultra low range solution :coffeedrink:

Expeditions 7: Two Years Around the World on all Seven Continents.

In most of the photos I see of the expedition, there is no love for the mysterious truck with the black canopy pictured here in the middle - what is it's role in the expedition, what is it, how is it equipt, why is it exlcuded from many of the photos, etc? I like this thing and want to know more...

What you are doing with your mechanical carb is almost a lost art in today's world of computer controlled garbage - good work! BTW, how are the tranny & T-Case doing? Did you ever find a suitable sollution to your front drive-shaft output issue from the t-case? :coffeedrink:

I'd love to know if anyone on the forum has converted one to 4x4, as I have always thought these would make great camping & weekend-weeklong beach & woods getaway expedition vehicles :coffeedrink:

    Rango.....1942 Willys MB

What is it model-wise that determines the difference between an older Willys having a tailgate [such as the Pirate member's ride or the Slick Rock Spider that Soni Honegger built] and yours that has a solid back end?

    Hot Dogs

We mostly use Nathans or Hebrew National, occasionally we will use Sabrett also when on sale, and much of the time we will leave out hot dogs altogether and instead use Johnsonville Chedder Bratwursts or Smithfield Smoked Sausages with Cheese. :coffeedrink:
