Suzuki Owners; Let's see your ExPo Trucks

I like the way it's installed. Looks good! With the addition of the spring you have made the radiating element longer, so you might have to adjust the tip to make it shorter. If you want to experiment around, try tuning the antenna without the spring and then add it after you have a usable...

Suzuki Owners; Let's see your ExPo Trucks

You are probably seeing the DC continuity between the coax connector on the back of the CB and the battery's negative terminal. Do you have continuity from the tailgate to the battery (taking the CB out of the picture)? Like Brian asked, is the antenna adjustable? You might not have an RF...

Brian- The SWR could be off the charts due to the type of antenna mount. What are you using if I may ask?

More proof that Jeep is the leader in 4x4 overland vehicles

If people need to explain why their Jeep is so great then there must be something wrong. People in the US suffer from identity issues linked to their cars, and this could be one of those issues. So what is this thread really about? I just don't understand why so many Jeepers need to convince...

Suzuki Owners; Let's see your ExPo Trucks

I asked one of the manufacturers and in the email they stated that their tow bar mounting brackets are "virtually rated" to carry the weight of the vehicle while towing, so I am not sure. To me it sounds like they ran a force analysis on the computer but haven't field tested the numbers...

Suzuki Owners; Let's see your ExPo Trucks

Scott- I noticed the front tow bar. Would something like that be rated for winching/recovery? I have a 07 Grand Vitara and wondered if a front tow bar would be an option to an ARB bumper since they bolt directly to the sub-frame assembly. Matt

Advice needed: Custom Skid Plates for 2007 Suzuki Grand Vitara (US Spec)

Hello all- I am pondering the possibility of custom skid plates for my 07 Suzuki Grand Vitara. Has anyone else attempted this? There are plates available, but I would have to ship them halfway around the world and would rather not pay for that. Not looking to create anything from diamond...

    Mobile ground plane question

If you install the VHF/UHF antenna on the space you were talking about you should have no issue. Remember, at VHF/UHF the frequencies a physically short, and your antenna will be using the roof (and any other metal it is attached to) to create the image of the other side of the dipole. At...

    2M Antenna Recommendations?

Suzuki Grand Vitara Ham Hello- Here is my setup. I am starting to build up my Suzuki Grand Vitara to be a sweet SUV trail-runner. There are some mods I could do, like lift-kits and such, but the radios COME FIRST. I installed trunk-lip style mount antenna mounts on the back door fairing...
