    10' x 10' Free-Standing Canopy : 18" Round Stakes or Weighted Bags to secure?

I use 3/8 in x 8 in. Spax Powerlag from Home Depot with a fender washer on the feet and for the guy lines. http://thd.co/1UQ3srD I always carry a battery powered impact driver in my vehicle which makes for a fast setup. And it's better than cussing because you smashed your thumb or bent a...

Yet another tent thread -- Black Pine, Kodiak, Springbar, OZ Tent?

I bought two black pine tents (pineview 8 and freestander 4) off a guy on KSL for $375 and they were one of the best investments I've made for camping. My buddy recently picked up an Oztent and the thing is pretty nice but I don't think it is worth the $800 he spent... Most of these tents are...

    Free Standing Screen Room reviews

I just purchased two of the Black Pine Screen Machines at roughly $84 each; $99 (current special on manufacture defect models) + discount code of Gearup (15% off) with free shipping. I currently own a freestander 4 and a Pineview 8 and we absolutely love them. It looks like it uses the...

Ozark Trail "High Performance" cooler - any good?

I used my 73 qt last weekend for a 3 day trip for 5 people and it performed flawlessly. I realized after I loaded it up that I had left the rubber side down on the feet so it didn't slide into my trailer very easily, but that was resolved after the trip.

    Sterilite Industrial totes

I have a couple of these, they are pretty tough though I wouldn't call them "industrial". I cut up a 1x6 into dividers that act as shelves when the tote is on it's side. We use it as a utensils box when camping with the family. Ryan Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ozark Trail "High Performance" cooler - any good?

It'll have to wait about 2 weeks, the weather is only in the 80's right now and I need the cooler next week for a 3 day trip, I'll let you know when I can start it. I could leave it out under a tree in my back yard. Let me know if you want any other aspect tested out.

Ozark Trail "High Performance" cooler - any good?

I picked up the 73 quart in store on Wednesday an decided to immediately run a little test. I purchased two bags of ice, four 2-liters and a six pack and dropped them all in the cooler in the parking lot. I then ran my errands for the day and the outside temp got up to 95 degrees, Oh and my AC...

    100 roof rack builds??

The atv rack is riveted together, I riveted a piece of angle aluminum to the front and back then bolted the rack to the steel crossbars. The ramp is rated for 1500 lbs. I've jumped up down on it and there was zero deflection. I'm sure the rack on the cruiser could handle way more than would be...

    100 roof rack builds??

I've built two out of the aluminum atv ramps from harbor freight. The FJ60 almost never gets above 65 mph and when it does you're not able to hear any whistling over all the other noises a 60 makes at that speed. I used 1.5"x.75 rectangular tubing underneath it and it's rock solid. It would...

    Air mattress suggestions

I agree with you on the annex pole setup, I never feel like it's setup correctly. We only had a problem with the annex falling once in high winds. I've though about making some kind of stake with a loop on it to hold the annex poles. As far as folding it up, this is what I've found; Buy a 4-6...

Turbo Tent owners - can the rainfly be left clipped in place?

I take mine off because of the possibility of getting pinched or getting a hole rubbed in the rain fly. I don't use the rain fly that often because the tent is almost waterproof without it, It's seen a few sprinkles but it would take a pretty heavy downpour to get through. Ryan Sent from my...

Turbo Tent users, step inside please

I have the 4 man and 8 man turbo tents and I really like them. They are big but the set up and take down is so fast and they are great sizes. I've had a rough time with high winds on two occasions where we ended up ditching the trip because the wind was just too strong. On one occasion it...

    hard top cargo track

It does have the backing plate and nuts. The ones I picked up are anodized blue, which I hate so I'm going to strip them with oven cleaner. Ryan Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Oscar, the round single clips you have on the first post are now available at Home Depot for $4 a piece, they have the track but only in 12" sections. I picked a few up but haven't used them yet. Ryan Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Quality and Budget Coolers

My super cheap solution has been a igloo wheelie cooler from Walmart with a 2 inch styrofoam plug that fits just under the lid. Last summer this lasted me 4 days (2 days in my non AC FJ60) in AZ at well over 100 degrees. When I started the trip I filled it with the food and a big bag of ice...
